(One Month Ago)

"Hello Little Bird, what can I get you?" Uncle smiled at the young woman that walked in and sat down slowly. He didn't like how careful she was to sit down but didn't say anything about it.

"Um water and hamburger with no tomatoes or onions please and fries," she said softly looking around like she was looking for something or someone.

"Sure Little Bird, say I havent seen you before, are you new?" Uncle asked trying to catch her chocolate eyes to give her some reassurance and comfort.

Her ebony hair masked her face as she looked down at her black nails and nodded. "I just got in yesterday."

"What brings you to our little town?" Uncle asked taking her menu. "Have you found a job yet?"

"Just starting over," she mumbled and looked out the window. "And no I havent had a chance to look just yet."

"Look no more, I need help around here, will that work for you?" She looked back at him shocked and nodded. "Great," Uncle beamed, "Come by tomorrow in the morning and we will get everything sorted out. What is your name by the way or should I just out Little Bird on the paperwork?"

She giggled softly and whispered, "Rose Morgan and thank you so much."
