"Jiya, show me your mehendi!" Shivani chirped, almost falling on Jiya who was busy seeing sweet dreams in her sleep, before the night of the unwanted marriage. "Di, jaao na! Kyun pareshan kar rahe ho, lemme sleep." Jiya put a pillow over her ear in an attempt to block Shivani's voice.

"Teri mehendi dekhni hai mujhe." Shivani pouted dejectedly making Jiya remove the pillow and sit up straight. She yawns and puts her hand on Shivani's lap, to show her her mehendi. "Wow, the color is so dark. Bahut pyaar karenge Samarth jiju tujhse." Shivani chuckled, cheerfully.

"It's just a myth. Nothing as such exists in real life. The love between a couple depends on their compatibility not on a stupid henna color." Jiya sighed while getting out of the bed and opening her cupboard for the towel and clothes. "According to science, it depends on--" Before she could venture on giving her scientific insight on henna, Shivani interrupted her. "Yeah, now comes the doctor in you debating over the ancient belief." Shivani rolls her eyes, getting off the bed.

"Blind belief!" Jiya mocked and went inside the washroom to freshen up. "You'll get to know once you get his love, sissy! I've seen how he feels about you. I can't wait to hear you come to me and say that he confessed it. It will happen, it surely will." Shivani places her palm on her heart indicating that she trusts Samarth enough. She exits the room.

"Wow Papa, looking handsome haan--" Pari barged inside Samarth's room while he was fixing his sehra. "Thank you, Princess." He smiles cordially, showing his cute dimples. "Papa, I am so happy, very very happy." Pari started jumping up and down on the bed while clapping her hands. "I wanna meet Jiya Mamma. She'll look like a goddess in her bridal lehenga na?" Pari asked innocent, her eyes shimmering with happiness. Samarth would spend any amount of money to see this glint of happiness in her eyes. He smiled back.

"Tell na Papa, she would look beautiful no? I have selected her wedding lehenga!" Pari exclaimed, making Samarth turn around and look at his daughter, tilting his head to one side. "Have you now? Then, she will look out of the world. 'Cause my Princess's choice is the best." Samarth declared grabbing Pari in his arms. "Papa, at least you could've shaved your beard for today! It pricks." Pari rubbed her cheek, scrunching her nose earning a laugh from Samarth.

"Sir, arrangements are done. You are required now to start the wedding procession!" Shipra stated. Samarth nodded his head nonchalantly. He stood up, fixing his sehra and put on his favorite perfume. He put on his watch and got going.

"Jiya Mammaaaaaaa!" Pari squealed as she entered Jiya's room. She saw Jiya sitting in front of the dressing mirror, putting on her ear rings. "Wow, Mamma, you look gorgog-gorge--beautiful." Pari opts for the word 'beautiful' finding it difficult to pronounce 'gorgeous'. Jiya chuckles and makes Pari sit on her lap.

"Mera bachha aa gaya?" She questions, sweetness lacing her voice. "Yes!" Pari replies excitedly. Jiya kisses her cheek. "I've heard that you selected this lehenga for me?" Jiya narrows her eyes. "Yes, did you like it?" Pari looked up into her eyes, innocently. "Pari's choice is as beautiful as Pari herself haan!" Jiya continued adorning jewelries on herself.

"Mamma!" Pari began, getting off her lap. "Hmm--" Jiya hummed distractedly. "I have a gift for you." Pari stated, fiddling with her fingers. Jiya turned around to get a better look at her face. "For me?" Jiya raised her eyebrows in suspense. Pari nodded, her eyes downcast. "I wonder if you'd like it." Pari was confused and utterly puzzled. "Well, show it to me then." Jiya chirped, excitedly.

"Dai Maa." Pari called out for Shipra from Jiya's room. Jiya looked at the door and suddenly it creaked open. Shipra walked in with a wrapped present in her hand. It was a rectangular sort of gift wrapped in a sleeky, shiny red wrapping paper. Jiya's eyes had a hint of confusion and excitement but all over, she was thrilled and happy. Happy that this little being thought so much about her.
