That night

"Oh lord, look who just got here." Gi's aunt whispered to me and I turned to look, seeing Ms. Lucia who had just walked out onto the field with Gi's abuelita by her side.

"Oh shit." I heard Nat say beside me and I couldn't help but to sigh to myself as I held Morgan tightly in my arms.

It'd been a long day already considering Gi had ended up fussing anyway after our talk about everybody being clinging to Morgan but it seemed as if this was the climax moment everybody had been dreading.

Looking across the field toward the basketball court, me and everybody else watched as Gi's tall figure immediately made his way over to me once he noticed his mother in attendance.

"Here comes the drama." I rolled my eyes in defeat as he walked up on us, sweaty as could be with his shirt off and his pants sagging from playing basketball with all of the guys.

"Come on, we out'." He spoke sternly to me before he roughly grabbed Morgan out of my arms and I looked up at him with sad eyes.

I'd already knew his stance on the situation so I understood why he was acting this way but I was pregnant, so small actions like him slightly snatching her from me and making us leave so abruptly made me upset.

"Gi-" I started but he'd instantly cut me off before I could even finish.

"Mami, please. Please don't fuckin' start." He shook his head, not even trying to hear what I had to say.

"I already told you what's up. It ain't no debate so get up." He spoke seriously to me and I looked up into his eyes, giving him a look so that he would calm down a bit but he obviously wasn't going to.

His mom really triggered the worst in him since the incident last year so this was the outcome.

Rolling my eyes, I slowly stood to my feet as everybody watched us closely.

"Gi-"

"Come on." He spat, cutting me off again, holding onto Morgan while she looked between him and I, obviously confused.

"Hey! Don't do this in front of my bebe." One of his aunt's joked, speaking up as she grabbed Morgan.

"Right." Nat agreed with her as they both took Morgan and playfully covered her ears.

I couldn't help but to smile as everyone watched us, trying to make the situation better. And I simply sighed to myself, calming myself down now so that I wouldn't cry.

When I did, I watched as everybody cooed to Morgan and Gi looked at me with stern eyes before he calmed himself too.

"Com'ere." He spoke calmer now, seeing the sad look on my face. He then grabbed my hand and pulled me away from everyone as I looked up into his eyes.

"Babe, I know how you feel.." I trailed off as he stood tall, hovering me.

"But we can't just hide her forever." I spoke softly to him, just trying to get him to relax.

Though he had his way, we'd spent the whole day having fun and enjoying ourselves all while Morgan finally got the chance to meet the other side of her family.

Though we were going through things with his mom, she deserved that. And she didn't deserve to just be snatched away because of his mother's presence.

None of us did.

Scoffing at my words, he shook his head in irritation as he looked down into my eyes.

"We already talked about this shit, Madison."
