11 | Firstly The Engagement Day!

It was a special day for both Keerthi's and Ashwin's families! The elders were busy in the setup. It was happening at Keerthi's back garden this time. It was arranged with traditional and minimal decorations and only a few were invited for it. From Keerthi's side, it was only her parents, her uncle and family, Saranya and family, and few colleagues. From Ashwin's side, it was just his parents, sister, and few colleagues. 

Keerthi got dressed in a baby pink saree and the makeup artist did a great job in keeping it natural. Ashwin was in a simple sherwani in a light pink shade. He couldn't wait to see HIS Keerthi in traditional attire! It was all set and everyone was expecting Keerthi on the stage.

As time went by Keerthi was getting nervous. Saranya and Shreya were trying to calm her nerves down. Finally, it was time, Keerthi was walking towards the stage in her back yard and she could feel all eyes on her. Her parents had teary eyes, tears of happiness.  Finally, she could see Ashwin waiting for her! He was looking so handsome and that killer smile... urghhh it turns me on always! she went near the stage and Ashwin held his hand out and helped her to reach the stage. Ashwin was awestruck and couldn't take his eyes off her. He went near her and whispered,

Ashwin: You look, breathtaking babe!

Keerthi looked down to hide her blush. The priest then started the ceremony and it was time for them to exchange the rings. Both put the rings on each other while looking into their eyes....their souls. Then they clicked some intimate photos. Ashwin hugged her from behind for the photo and they also kissed each other for some. It was indeed a memorable one for them and their families. All those who came congratulated and wished them for a great future together.

After a while, all had some snacks and drinks organized by the elders and everyone was busy with talking, Ashwin took this as a chance and pulled Keerthi to her room. It was the first time they were together in her room. Keerthi was shocked but went with him. He quickly closed the door behind them and hugged her. Keerthi hugged him back too and he whispered near her ears,

Ashwin: Mrs. Ashwin you look so beautiful today and I can't take my eyes off you

Keerthi: You already mentioned it so many times downstairs baby

Ashwin: I will compliment you as long as I want.

He held her by her bare waist as his hands went in her saree. Keerthi blushed hard and hid her face in his chest. Ashwin chuckled and hugged her back. They took some selfies together and in a swift moment, Ashwin crashed his lips on hers. This was not a regular kiss. It showed his love and affection but most importantly that Keerthi will be his forever officially now. Keerthi responded back with the same passion and they were out of breath.

Keerthi: Come let us go. All will tease us when they find out that we are missing!

They both went down but near the stairs, Shreya and Saranya caught up with them.

Shreya: Bro what happened? Why is your face flushed?

Saranya: Yes Keerthi yours too! Did you both do something...

Keerthi shushed her friend and they laughed at Ashwin and Keerthi. They both went and bid their byes to the friends and family who came. Now it was only Keerthi and Ashwin's family remaining. All were so happy and Keerthi had this new glow on her face. Her smile was vibrating throughout the room and Ashwin was over the moon today.

Shreya: Mom, as it is Saturday tomorrow can we all go out somewhere?

Ashwin's mom: That is a good idea. You will also be leaving for university soon so it is better to spend time with everyone.

All agreed and they thought of going for a movie and then for dinner at a restaurant. Keerthi was excited that she will meet him tomorrow too. Finally, it was 10 pm and Ashwin and their family were ready to leave. All the elders walked in front and this time Keerthi was walking very slowly behind and pulled Ashwin's hand. She quickly gave a peck and kissed his cheeks.

Keerthi: I love you so much! And you look so good today husband!

Ashwin loved this side of hers. He was startled but was enjoying all these small moments between them.

Ashwin: Love you too wifey! see you tomorrow! dream about me

He kissed her forehead and left.

Keerthi went to her room, changed into some casuals and when she took her phone she saw so many congratulating her and also saw a message from HIM wishing her goodnight.

Keerthi replied to all those she could especially Ashwin's message and drifted to sleep. She was so thankful for finding Ashwin for her. It is the best thing that ever happened to her!

She has met many men in her school, work, etc. but no one was like him. The care and love he had shown her have made her feel very special. Ashwin was a man whom you can trust blindly. She loved that about him. She also loved that she had someone to hold on to.

Ashwin on the other hand was elated. He has never loved someone so much. This was all new to him and he was ready to embrace everything that life has to offer!

Both slept thinking about each other.
