So a few days back Ashwin texted me asking to take me out on a date. I was contemplating on whether to go not. Finally gave in and here I am getting ready for my first day with HIM. It is 7 pm right now he said that he will pick me up at 7.30 pm. I am wearing a simple black dress with wedges and hoop earrings. I put in a little makeup to look presentable.
At 7.30 I heard the doorbell, thereafter heard my dad, ' Keerthi, he is here ' I immediately went down and saw him in jeans and a casual black T-shirt. He looked so good and our eyes met. His eyes roamed from my head to toe openly checking me out. I blushed and looked away. I waved bye to my parents and we drove off.
We had a comfortable silence and light music playing on the radio. Then he said,' You look gorgeous today,' I thanked him and smiled. Again there was silence and we reached a restaurant which serves Indian food. ' I thought you would like some Indian food to start our date with?' And I replied ' yes I wouldn't mind at all.' We got down and he had already reserved seats for two. We then ordered our drinks and starters. We thought of trying out new dishes here. It was a cozy little restaurant with a vibrant interior.

Ashwin: Keerthi are you happy about this proposal?
Keerthi: Of course, why do you ask?
Ashwin: Well I want to clear out any assumptions beforehand and I am glad that you are not forced into this relationship.
Keerthi: what about you then?
Ashwin: well to be honest I was skeptical about the whole arranged marriage setup but later wanted to try it out. And then I met you and now I think that it was not a bad idea after all!
Keerthi's cheeks turned red and just then their food arrived. They talked a lot later about their likes and dislikes, hobbies, etc. Both of them were satisfied with their relationship moving forward.
While driving back Ashwin held Keerthi's hand in one and the other for the steering wheel of the car. As soon as his hand touched hers she felt the spark again and their eyes met for few seconds before he diverted them to the road.

Then he said, 'I really like you Keerthi. You are very straightforward, open, and a very kind person. You put other people before you and help them always.' Keerthi then told, ' I like you too, you are very honest and kind'
Ashwin got to know about her when she talked to him at the restaurant. She was so polite and told him everything and there is no doubt that she will be a good wife for him in the future. When she talked about others who she have helped, her eyes twinkled and he knew right away that she was the one.
Keerthi on the other hand found Ashwin as a true gentleman. He always wanted to make everyone around him smile and she was elated when she found out that he also liked her back. This was all new to her and she wants to move on with him.
As they were both lost in their thoughts the car came to a halt just near her house. Her hand was still in his and they had eye contact for a long time. She saw his eyes quickly moving to her lips and back to her eyes. She knew what was going to happen but she was so nervous. She was going to have her first kiss! He pulled her closer and their faces were inches away. He was about to kiss her lips when she turned her head and the kiss landed on her left cheek. Keerthi blushed so hard and looked down. Ashwin lifts her chin up and said, ' I don't want to make you uncomfortable. I am ready when you are ready,' how can someone be so understanding thought Keerthi. She nodded her head and was about to get down but she quickly pulled him closer and pecked his cheek and got down.
Ashwin couldn't process it and he just smiled and waved bye to her. Later she told her parents about everything and that she was happy to proceed with the proposal, they were so happy.
While on the bed she wished Ashwin a good night and slept while smiling to herself.
