15 | First Time Taking Care Of Her!

Ashwin woke up at around 7 pm and had a quick wash after his jog. He called in and cancelled his surgeries and appointment for this week as Keerthi was his number one priority now! He assigned some emergency cases to the other neurosurgeons there. He had a quiet breakfast with his mom and dad. His parents knew the turmoil he is facing and they did not want to ask anything now. They knew that it will take time to come back to the old self for him. They realized how much he loves her when they saw his state yesterday.

He informed his parents about going to see her and they did not object. In fact they told him that they will be visiting her in the evening. Ashwin was thankful for them for not questioning him more about his dilemma.

Ashwin reached the hospital and her parents saw him and told to go in. It was 9 am and she was still sleeping. Tears brimmed in his eyes seeing her like this with bandages and tubes. Although he was grateful that she was alive, still he couldn't comprehend he lying like this. He quickly pecked her forehead and held her hand while she was sleeping.

He got up and checked her oxygen rates, blood pressure level and also the notes which were kept in the the table next to her. Suddenly he heard her crying. Ashwin ran to her side and she relaxed seeing him.

Ashwin: Good morning wifey! What happened?

Keerthi: uhhhh... i moved my bandaged arm and it hurts like hell.

Ashwin: Oh! Don't worry I will help you with anything you need.

Keerthi was surprised to see him with her in the morning. He looked very tired with dark circles. She was happy at least he will spend time with her now.

Keerthi: Ashwin did you eat?

Ashwin: Uh Ya had my breakfast at home.

Keerthi: why do you look so tired and pale?

Ashwin: Couldn't sleep

Keerthi gasped. She knew that he won't take care of him now. Later he helped her to freshen up. Just to wash her face and brushed her teeth. Keerthi was shocked to see him doing all this to her. It was difficult for her to ask him but there was no choice.

The doctor then visited her and did some check up. He said that it will take some time for the injuries to heal and to take care of her. Next the nurse came in with the breakfast. As Ashwin knew her condition he just ordered plain toast with black coffee. Keerthi's face changed to horror. She hated plain black coffee and he knew it but she again had no other go.

Ashwin: Babe I know you hate it but this is the best for you now. You cannot eat anything dairy or spicy. So I am just careful.

Keerthi: Ya I know but........

Ashwin: No no I won't listen to you. Please have it

Keerthi struggled but somehow had it. Ashwin was so patient with her. He fed her and also made her drink a bot of the bitter coffee which she hated. Ashwin then suddenly smashed his lips to hers. Keerthi was taken aback but responded. This kiss showed her the care he has towards her. Keerthi blushed hard and he also then proceeded to kiss her cheeks.

Ashwin: I love you and please don't give up now. Always fight for your life at any situations babe. I will always be with you and take care of you every time.
