"what can i get for you?"
she mumbled as she looked down at the screen.

keith cleared his throat as he stared at her.
"i'm sorry?"

she stood up straighter.
"what can i get for you?"
she said a little louder.

"oh i'm sorry,i couldn't hear you. um,let me get a small cookies and cream,extra cookies."
he pulled out his wallet.

"whip?"
she asked.

"what did you say to me?"

beautiful shifted her eyes as she looked at him.
"whip? do you want whip-"

"why would i want whip on ice-cream?"
he shrugged.

she stalled.
"i just-i have to ask. it's apart of my job."

his lips fell into a thin line.
"you know what,i'm sorry. um,no,i don't want whipped cream."
he grinned.

she nodded as she wrote down his directions.

"$3.01"

keith pulled out a five placing the bill on the counter,looking around the shop.

beautiful moved around his arm as she tried to pick up the bill,hitting his wrist in the process.

"sorry-"

"i'm-i mean. sorry i should've...put it in your..hand."
he mumbled

she coughed,trying to cover up the awkward silence as she put in the numbers,waiting for the register to open.

she tapped her finger as she waited impatiently.

"hey come on! i've been in here for twenty minutes!"
a man in the middle of the line yelled.

"i'm sorry! i'm trying to move fast,but there's only so much i can do-"

"hurry up!-"

"hey!"
keith turned.
"don't be an ass! if you don't like the service here,turn around and go somewhere fucking else!"

the man scoffed before mumbling profanity as he walked out the door,slamming it.

keith rolled his eyes as he turned back to her.
"$1.99 is..your change"
