"can you say that again? i think my phones going out."
kilani said as she covered an ear.

"i said, this storm looks like shit."
keith replied.

"you're outside?!"
she said worriedly making him laugh.

"chill,i'm fine. i'm driving home-

"in the storm?!"
she asked making him roll his eyes.

"please get home."
she said in a serious tone just as keith turned the wheel.

"i am-"

just as keith replied,the phone went out making kilani look at her screen.

dead.

"you're kidding."
she mumbled,finding a charger before letting her phone charge.

just as she stood up,a knock emerged from the door making her freeze.

she grabbed a bat behind the tv before slowly walking to the front door,peeking out the hole,before another set of knocks came.

"open the fuck up!"
keith said in a funny tone making kilani roll her eyes,unlocking the door.

"what are you doing here? there's a storm."
she said sternly,pulling him into the door.

"you sounded scared as hell on the phone,so i thought i would come keep you some company until the storm passes. besides,your place was closer than mine so."
he shrugged.

"i was not scared-"

BOOM!

kilani covered her mouth in shock as she jumped slightly.

"lying is a curse."
he told her entering further into her apartment.

"ooh,it's nice in here."
he told her,slipping off his shoes.
this was keith's first time in kilani's home.

"and it smells good."
he said making her laugh as he sat at the kitchen island.

"i brought you food."
he said,putting down the large zaxby's bag in front of her before opening his own.

"how do you know what i like?"
she wondered making him shrug.
"lucky guess,chicken strips?"

kilani rolled her eyes sitting down next to him.
"maybe."
she mumbled.
