Chapter 10: A Week on Coruscant Day 3
Sparring Tournament
21 BBY - 7 months after Geonosis

"Day two! How many of you want to attempt to beat your vods in a sparring tournament? All of you? Good to know." Reno stood on a box in the training room, instructing his brothers. "You're all lucky that the General's injured, or all of us would get our shebs kicked. Up first, Lightweight and Delta!"

Aayla sat on the sidelines wishing she could compete in the tournament.

"Sorry General, I know you want to but your arm can't handle something like this for a little while." Sid said as he plopped down next to Aayla.

"What if I didn't use this arm?"

"Sorry to disappoint you General, but no."

"Fine." Aayla said with exasperation.

"And our last two contestants, Bly and Acer! If you want to make a bet, come to me please." Reno very obviously wanted to win more credits, but so did the rest of his vod. A flock of troopers came up and made bets with Reno. "Thank you all. And now to the fight. Bly, Acer, step on the mat."

"You're going down, vod."

Bly laughed. "You're hilarious Acer. Truly hilarious."

"You're gonna get your shebs kicked."

Acer and Bly circled each other. In the past, Acer had won all of the 327th sparring tournaments but Bly was determined to change that.

"I don't think so. I've been training."

"Oh yeah? With who?" Acer chuckled.

Bly jumped over Acer, who ducked down, and kicked him in the back of the knee, causing him to fall forward.

"The General."

Aayla grinned from her chair. Acer's face went pale... Aayla was the only one in the battalion who could beat him in a sparring match. The crowd let out gasps and 'oohs'.

"Can you beat her?"

"I have." Bly shrugged and waited for Acer's attack.

Without looking away from Bly, Acer started talking to Aayla. "That true, General?"

"Yes, Acer. Bly is not lying."

"Haar'chak." Acer mumbled as he threw a strong punch at Bly, which he caught. Within seconds, Bly had Acer pinned down on the mat.

"1! 2! 3!" Reno yelled. "Bly is the winner! Pay up, di'kuts!" The 327th miserably walked up to Reno as his pile of credits grew, like his evil and victorious grin. "I told you he would win. But nooooooooo." Reno repeated over and over to the clones.

Once all of the clones besides Bly and Reno had filed out of the training room, Aayla walked over to a triumphant-looking Reno. "Alright, Reno. Now it's your turn to pay up."

"Forgot I made that bet with you. How much did you have on Bly winning?"

"200."

Reno sorted out the credits and handed them to Aayla. "There you go. Still not a loss for me, I still cleared the entire battalion."

Aayla chuckled as Reno left the room.

"You put 200 on me winning the entire thing?" Aayla nodded to Bly. "All due respect, but I'm questioning your level of intelligence."

"You won, didn't you?"

"Fair point. Those sparring rounds helped."

"Glad I am useful." Aayla laughed.
