"What is it Sid?" Bly asked.

"Wake her up."

"Why? She just went to sleep."

"Wake her up, now"

.oOo.

"Fine. She's not going to be happy." Bly emphasized 'not' to make his point.

"I know."

"At all."

"Just wake her up." Sid rolled his eyes and proceeded to watch Bly.

"Aayla." Bly spoke quietly. "Aayla wake up." He rubbed her hand. "Wake up, cyar'ika." Bly's head immediately snapped towards Sid, hoping he hadn't heard that, but Sid had most defenitely heard. "Not a word-" Sid threw his hands up innocently. Bly turned back to Aayla. "Aayla, please wake up."

"Why isn't she waking up?" Sid asked.

"I dunno? Maybe since she hasn't slept in four days she's dead asleep?" Bly shot back sarcastically.

"Right."

"Aayla, wake up." Bly sighed and resorted to his last idea. He gently ran his hand down Aayla's lek a few times. Behind him, Sid's eyes were wide and his mouth was on the floor.

Aayla's eyes fluttered open slowly. "Why did you wake me up?"

"Sid has something to tell you."

"Can't it wait? How long was I sleeping?"

"Five minutes, at the most. And Sid says it can't wait."

"I'm gonna kill Sid long before any clanker for making me wake up."

"Thanks, General." Sid piped in from across the room.

"No problem, Sid. Now what's the kriffing problem?"

"If you'll look at the screen above you, you'll see some X-ray images."

"Yeah?"

A new image flashed across the screen. "This one is your right leg, the one the Commander put in a splint. I see multiple fractures ranging from here, to here." Two arrows pointing to the spots appeared on the screen above Aayla.

Then a completely new image showed up, again. "This is your left arm. The same one in a splint. The humorous is broken here." A red circle surrounded a crack on the bone of Aayla's upper arm. "And your radius is fractured here." Another red circle appeared near her elbow. "As for the rest of your body, according to my X-rays, ..." Sid stopped and recounted the image on his data pad. "Ribs four through six and eight through ten are broken in your right side. As for your left, only eight, eleven, and twelve."

"So what do I do about it?" Aayla asked. Bly could tell she was scared... who wouldn't be?
He rubbed her hand reassuringly to let her know he was there for her.

"I'm not done yet, sorry General. As for your skin, you have numerous burns from the wall exploding. For those, you'll be in a bacta tank for approximately three days."

Aayla rolled her eyes, she hated bacta tanks with a burning passion.

"For the rest, we need to give it time and proper casts. A boot on your foot and then a sling and cast on your arm. As for your ribs, they'll self heal in a few months. I'm afraid there's nothing I can do besides that."

Aayla didn't speak, she just stared at the X-rays on the screen above her.

"Thanks, Sid." Bly spoke up for her.
