You've been staying with Diluc for quite some time and have ultimately fallen for him. You need to return to where you once lived, but will Childe find you because of this mistake?

"(Y/N)?" I turned to see Diluc in the doorway of the guest room. I feel bad having stayed for the last 2 weeks, but we've gotten much closer. Good friends is what I'd call us, but I've started to realize that maybe I'd like more than that. Seeing how much of a burden I've put on him already, I should focus on myself. He never really smiles or shows any real sign of happiness, maybe that's because of me? "(Y/N)?" I realize I've just been staring at him.

"Uhh, yeah?" I walk over to him and he backs away a bit. Now that was unusual. "Oh sorry." He sighs and shakes his head. His eyes have a hint of guilt to them.

"Do you want to.. maybe go out today? Around dinner time? I have work right now." He works as a bartender. I should've noticed he had work because he has his uniform on. I always like the way he looks in it. But is he asking me out? I sure would hope so, but knowing him, he might not see it as that.

"Yeah that'd be great!" Though I barely have anything to wear. Everything is still left at my house.. and I've been too scared to go back there in case Childe is lurking around. How did I get myself in this situation. Diluc headed out the door and I waved goodbye, but he didn't turn back to me. He should've been more specific than just dinner! Casual dinner? Damn it, I was too caught up in my thoughts of thinking this was a date to ask!! Suddenly my phone dings.

"Sorry for not specifying, but dress up." Could it be a date?? I can sure hope. All of my fancy clothing is still at the house.. should I risk it? I think I will. Oh (Y/N), you sure are an idiot.

I took the bus to the closest place it could drop me off too and walked the rest of the way. "Finally.." I reached the house and looked around. The grass was kept nice and trimmed and everything outside seemed out of place. Even my plants were still alive. Has he.. been caring for my home while I've been gone!? This was such a bad idea. I peered through the window's, which blinds were now open. The whole place was clean and it definitely wasn't how I left it. I grabbed the doorknob and realized the door wasn't broken. He's definitely been here. Should I just go back? I've come this far.. I cant. I opened the door and yelled out, "Hello!?" No answer but that doesn't mean Childe isn't lurking about to just take me without a fight. I rushed over to my room and grabbed my best outfit before quickly heading for the front door. Even my room is clean.. this whole situation is so creepy. Suddenly I could hear a car pulling up. I peered through the curtain and realized it was his car. "Shit.." He started for the front door and I quickly went through the back once again. I need to hurry out of here.

I made it back just fine, but thinking about it makes me anxious. I finished getting ready around 9:47, knowing he's always back a bit late. I looked at myself in the mirror. "Could he ever like me..? Or is this dinner his way of treating me one last time before he tells me to leave?" The guilty look he had in his eyes. I sighed and rested my head on my hand. I hear a knock on the door and can't help but feel anxious about dinner. I open the door. "Hi." Before I know it I'm being grabbed harshly and I start kicking and trying to scream, but his hand is over my mouth. Childe found me. How!?

"Oh (Y/N)... I put tracking on all of your clothes, and now I'll be taking you back with me. You're rightfully mine. I won't let that bastard take you from me!" He threw me into his van and quickly tied me up. "I finally know where Diluc lives. He always manages to escape me when I try following him home. Don't you know how much of a burden you've been to him? How cruel of you to put him through so much." I really should've left Diluc's home much earlier. Because of me he's been through so much.. and now I'm sure that tonight he was gonna let me know how much he's been wanting me to leave. Tears started flowing down my cheeks and I rested my head on my knees. "Now let's have dinner, just the two of us? At home.. how does that sound." Even if I managed to escape now where would I go? An anxious feeling filled the pit of my stomach at the thought of going to his house, but I look at him and just nod, the tears still flowing. "That's a good (Y/N)." Suddenly I hear honking getting closer to the car. What's going on?? "Hold on (Y/N)!" I brace myself for impact of some sort and suddenly the whole car starts spinning. I try screaming, but the muffle gets in the way. Shards of glass fling everywhere as we hit something. I grab a piece and cut the rope to try and escape. Where will I go? I don't know but it's better than staying with Childe. Maybe the gods have given me another chance. I get out of the car a bit bloody and see we've crashed into a tree. We were into the woods a bit.

"(Y/N)!" My heart drops and I turn to face Diluc. He.. saved me? My eyes widen and even more tears spill as my knees buckle and drop to the floor. Diluc quickly pulled me into an embrace and I just couldn't seem to stop crying. "Hey, it's ok now.." He stroked my hair before letting go but even then a look of worry on his face continued. "Get in the car ok?" I saw Diluc was carrying a knife. Just what is going on?? I went into the car as he opened the door of Childe's van. Childe got out of the car hazily. His injuries were severe, his whole body was bloody and he fell to the floor. Blood spilled onto the ground and Diluc checked his pulse. He cracked a smile and I couldn't help but be worried. He started laughing.. why is he laughing? Is he crazy too!? He started dragging Childe's body into the woods. I quickly followed after him.

"D..Diluc! Just what are you doing!?" I put my hand on his shoulder. A look of worry spreading across my face as I saw his eyes. He looked insane.. I took a few steps back.

"I'm doing what has to be done (Y/N). He's been trying to follow me home to come and grab you again.. when I saw him grabbing you I couldn't help, but try to find a good opportunity for something like this. I took more steps back and fell. He's gone totally insane because of me. "Don't be scared.. I won't hurt you. I just need this bastard gone. I looked past the trees and saw where he was taking him.. the lake. "You won't want to look at what I'm about to do. Go back to the car I'll take care of everything." I got up and just ran away. I reached the car and flopped to the floor.

"Why me.." I cried weakly. What if Diluc starts acting like Childe.. but he doesn't like me in that way, right? The one thing I've been hoping for, for the last few weeks and now that it might be true it's the one thing I don't want. I went into the passenger seat of his car. I might die out here if I don't at least go back home with him. Though that might be for the best at this point. I saw Diluc get into Childe's van and drive it into the lake. When Diluc came back into the car he tried to touch my face, but I quickly pulled away. "Don't touch me!"

He looked taken aback by my behavior and saddened. He.. looked sad. Out of the many times I'd known Childe, once he went crazy he stopped showing any emotion really. Today though Diluc.. was finally showing what he felt. "(Y/N).. I don't want anything to happen to you." He started his, now very damaged, car and started heading back home. "After these two months I.. feel bad telling you this but," I close my eyes. Is he going to tell me he wants me to leave now that Childe isn't a threat? "I've fallen for you." He sighed. "I was going to tell you over dinner, and when I asked you to dinner I wasn't sure if I should ask. Maybe because I feel like it's still sudden after all that's happened to you. If you want to go after what I've just done it's ok. I'll have you stay with my.. brother. I haven't told anyone whats happened to you so you can start over. If that's what you want.." He sighed and stopped talking. Maybe I was just overreacting after the day I've had.

"Diluc.. I want to stay with you." I looked at him. He started blushing and a small smile spread across his face. "Thank you for everything." He put a hand on my thigh.

"So, dinner?" I couldn't help but laugh a bit. "We should head home before, so you can clean yourself up first." My outfit hadn't been ruined, but I had a bunch of small cuts and such all over.

"Yeah, dinner."

We had a nice talk over dinner. Lots of laughs and plenty of dessert. When we finally came back home Diluc started to look hesitant. "Would you.. like to sleep.. in the same bed?" My eyes widened and I looked at him in disbelief. "Not like.. you know." I laughed and I grabbed his hand leading him to his room.

"Just what we need. A good nights rest." I kicked off my shoes and just laid on his bed. He looked at me and rolled his eyes. "Yes I'm gonna go to sleep in this." Not the most comfortable but I'm too tired now. I closed my eyes and only opened them when Diluc had laid down on the bed. His shirt was off and I couldn't help but look away from him.

"What's wrong." He teased. I refused to answer and he pulled me close to him. "Goodnight (Y/N)." My cheeks grew bright red, but he wouldn't be able to see that now with the lights turned off. I turned to face him and gave him a peck on the cheek. He opened his eyes and looked down at me.

"What's wrong?" I mocked. I smiled and he wrapped his arms around me. I haven't felt so at peace like this in so long. I slowly drifted off, my smile staying put.
