I ran crying to Xingqiu knowing I could find him at the book house. A new shipment of books had just arrived. When I saw him I leapt into his arms and promptly held me. "Hey whats wrong darling." He rubbed my back and I just started sobbing harder. He gave me a bit to calm down and I let him go.

"Gui.. Gui broke up with me!" I managed to say but soon the waterworks began again. "He didn't give me a reason he just.. br-broke up with me!!" I clung to Xingqiu.

"The herbalist? I'll make sure to have a stern talking to him. Tsk. Let's go get a hot cup of cocoa and we can talk all about it alright?" I slowly nodded and when headed over to his place. Once we were at his home he started on the cocoa. I sat down on couch and wiped away my tears. Me and Gui hadn't been together for long, but I didn't expect him to end things like this. Once Xingqiu comes back he rubs my back. "Now tell me what happened."

"Well.. we were having a date like normal. He was going to show how to make a medicine and by the end of it he held my hands. Looked into my eyes.. said sorry and broke up with me." I sigh. "I don't know what went wrong. Did I do something? How do I fix this?" I was hoping Xingqiu would have an answer, I really really like Gui. I look toward Xingqiu and see he almost has a slight smile.

"Someone like that doesn't deserve you (Y/N)." Maybe he's right, but these horrible feelings I'm having won't go away with some kind words.

"Ok.." Xingqiu comes closer hugging me tightly. "All of my relationships never end well, maybe it's me." I should take a break from relationships, it's really started to affect me.

"Or maybe, it's a sign from the universe. That you're looking in the wrong place." Where should I be looking? I stare at Xingqiu for a while and sigh.

"I'm as blind as a bat it seems." Always looking for someone new, maybe I should look at everyone I already know. Xingqiu gets back up to check on the cocoa. Xingqiu is the only friend I've ever had feelings for before. I realized it just wouldn't work out between us however, I don't remember why however. What was the reason? I doubt the universe is trying to get me a Xingqiu together, I need to stop being ridiculous.

However as the months passed, Xingqiu started to get more and rumored romantic with me. I couldn't help but take notice. "(Y/N)!" He ran up to me grabbing my hand, before walking beside me. "There you are, how are you? Well I hope." I nod with a smile. "Good, why don't we have dinner tonight then?" My smile widens.

"I'd love to!" As Xingqiu lead me into an empty restaurant I looked at the candles and menus. Did he rent the place out for me? He gave me a large knowing smile and pulled out my chair for me. "Thank you." I sat down looking over the menu, the items all being good choices and coincidentally being my favorites. When you looked up from the menu Xingqiu flashed you a cheeky smile. He knew what he was doing, and I can't help but love him for it. I guess he was right, I was looking in the wrong place.

"(Y/N), I came here with you to ask, will you be mine. Mine alone, (Y/N)." My cheeks flushed, I thought he would never ask!

"Yes!" I give him a bright smile. He snaps his fingers and a waiter comes over. The waiter takes our orders and leaves promptly.

"See, you have been looking in the wrong place." He placed his hand over mine. "I've been yearning for you for so long (Y/N)." He has? I try to hide my smile with my hands, but he pulls them down. "Don't hide that expression my dear. I don't know what I would've done had you rejected me, I've planned this so perfectly for us."

"What do you mean?" I ask a little worried. "We'd still be friends, I can't imagine myself without you." I try to reassure him, and even give him a soft smile. However, his face almost turns mad.

"These past few months, though I love you dearly my sweet, have all been to take you into my arms. All of it." When he says it like that it's almost ominous. What does he mean by all of it? Past few months.. Gui.. did he manage to split us up? Did he say something to Gui??? My eyes widen in disbelief. "But I promise, now that I'm holding onto you, I shall never let you go."
