Always You

CHAPTER 14

There were four days left until the ball, and all the students were excited about that.

I was excited too and I didn't look forward to that. I was also happy about my date to the ball. 

Since Blaise asked me, we spent time together and I found out he was really nice and funny. We had some classes together and he always sat next to me. I had noticed Draco's looks, he definitely didn't like me being friend with Blaise, but I didn't care, I could do whatever I want with whoever I want.

It was Saturday and there was a quidditch game, Hufflepuff against Gryffindor, but I didn't watch it, because I had to go to Hogsmeade.

With some excuses I started walking alone, while my friends were going to watch Harry, Ron and all the Gryffindor player playing.

I had to go to Hogsmeade because I had to buy some Christmas presents for my parents and for my friends.

This year we were going to celebrate holidays at Hogwarts, and I wanted to buy something for my friends.

I also wanted to buy something for Dean: we hadn't talk in a while and he seemed still angry at me. I did everything I could to try to talk to him, but he didn't want to.

When I arrived there, I started looking for something appropriate for everyone.

I bought a pair of earrings for Ginny and a set of parchment, quill and coloured ink for Hermione. I was quite sure they would have liked the presents because the last time we went together they wanted to buy that, but they didn't.

For Ron I bought a book about his favourite quidditch team, I knew he would have loved it.

For Harry I bought a bracelet with a snitcher as a charm, it was really beautiful, and I thought he would have liked it.

For Dean I didn't really know what to buy. I knew he really liked drawing, so I bought a notebook and some pens and pencils, I wasn't sure if it was something he could have liked, but I bought it anyway, hoping he'd liked it.

As I returned to Hogwarts the quidditch game was just finished, and I found my friends in the Great Hall eating, because it was already dinner time.

I went to Gryffindor common room to hide all the presents and I came back to the Great Hall to join my friends.

As I entered the room, I saw Draco staring at me and when I looked at him, he looked away. He seemed to be sad or melancholy. I didn't really understand him, why he had to behave like that? As I was looking at Slytherin table I saw Blaise waving at me, I smiled, and I waved back. Draco was looking at us and from sad he seemed to become angry, but I didn't care, I was used to it.

I sat next Hermione, and I started eating something.

"Where have you been? You lost the game" Ron asked me, he was sitting in front of me, and he was eating a large sausage.

"I'm sorry, I had something important to do. How did the match go?" I asked remaining vague.

"we won, but we knew that. Hufflepuff is easy to beat" Harry answered to me instead of Ron, who was still eating his sausages.

Also, Hermione noticed how Ron was eating

"Do you have to eat like that?" there was a bit of annoyance in her voice. 

"What? I'm hungry" we all laughed.

"Ginny, Hermione, what are you going to wear at the ball? You haven't showed me your dresses" I asked eating some bread

"it's nothing special, when we go back to the dorm later, I'll show you mine and Hermione hers."

I nodded "we also have to learn how the camera my parents sent me works. I still can't understand how it works. Maybe you can help me Harry, maybe you have already used that" I said to Harry.

"sure, what type of camera is?" he asked curious.

"Oh, I don't know. I am not familiar to those things" I laughed.

"we will see then".

When the dinner was over, we started to go to our dorm, but someone made me stopped

"Hey Hannah" I turned around, and I saw Blaise coming in my way smiling

"Hi Blaise, what's up" I smiled at him

"We will wait in the common room Hannah" Hermione said smiling, and I nodded to her smiling back.

"I just wanted to make sure that you still want to go to the ball with me, you know maybe you have changed your mind or something like that" he seemed preoccupied

I smiled "No Blaise, why would I want? I cannot wait to go with you, it will be fun" I said trying to comfort him.

He nodded smiling "Perfect"

"See you in the corridors then" I said starting to go to my dormitory

"No Hannah wait" I stopped, and I turned to him

"Yes?"

"I bought this for you. It is nothing, but you could put it on at the Ball, if you want of course" he gave me a small package.

As I opened it, I saw a black bracelet with some green stones set.

"It's beautiful Blaise. You didn't have to" I said smiling, I looked at him, and he relaxed seeing I really liked it.

"It's nothing, but I appreciate you like it" I smiled embarrassed

"see you around Hannah"

"Sure" I smiled, and he went to his common room.

I was surprised about the present, I really didn't expect that.

As I was going to the Gryffindor common room, I was still looking at the bracelet. It was beautiful.

"Zabini outdid himself this time, I have to admit" it was a voice I recognized immediately. I turned around, and saw Draco standing in front of me smirking

I didn't reply at what he said, "Are you following me?" I asked, I was still upset about what happened, and I didn't want to talk to him.

"Maybe" he laughed

"What do you want Draco? Don't you have girlfriend to stay with? She may be worried at the moment" I said rolling my eyes.

"Are you jealous?" he was still smirking at me

"I think I have already answered to this question, but If you don't remember the answer is still no" I lied and turned myself, and walked, but I felt a grip on my arm. I looked up, and I saw him too close to him.

"What do you want to me Draco? I'm tired and I want to go to sleep"

"I still think of you Nolan. You are important" I looked at him confused, he noticed that, and he laughed.

"Good night Hannah, sleep well" and he started to walk in the opposite way.

I remained still in the centre of the corridor, confused. Why did he act like this? Why did he say those words in that moment after weeks?

I was confused, but deep inside I was happy knowing he was still thinking of me.
