Ashton: I’ve got your photograph. But baby I need more than that. I need to know your lips. Nothing ever mattered to me more than this.

You couldn’t help but stare at Ashton, the way his smile made your heart flutter. Or the way he animatedly talked with his hands, or the way his perfect lips formed your name. It was mesmerizing, and all you could think of was how much you desired his lips on yours. You wanted to feel what it was like to kiss him, the idea keeping you up for a long time. You had stared at his pictures on your phone late at night, admiring and wondering what it would be like to just kiss him. You two were still in the very early stages of your relationship. You two were exclusive it seemed, but neither of you had made a move to be remotely physical. He would hold you hand, or put his hand on the small of your back to reassure you that he was there, but other than that nothing had happened. Of course, there were times where the two of you were close. Suddenly looking at each other and realizing just how close your faces were, or times where you would be cuddling, and rolling around to brush noses, or even to nuzzle into a shoulder. But every time you seemed to get close enough to kiss, something would interrupt the two of you. Or one of you would pull away shyly, unsure if it was okay to keep going. But now, you craved his very lips. You wanted to taste your name, you wanted to feel the softness as they were pressed against yours. You often wondered if he felt the same way about you. Did he want to feel your lips, taste the berry chapstick that you so often wore? You rolled over restlessly looking out the window and staring at the bleak sky. Your phone lit up, illuminating the darkened room. You grabbed it, seeing Ashton’s name flit across the screen. You unlocked your phone, opening his message and smiling at your phone. “I can’t sleep. And I think its because you’re on my mind.” It read, and your heart fluttered. “I feel the same way. I can’t sleep. Probably because the thought of you is keeping me awake.” You confessed, holding your breath and sending it. Almost immediately Ashton replied, making your heart hammer. “I don’t know if its because I just crave to see you, or even just to feel you near me. I don’t know if I’m jumping to conclusions or I’m pushing anything, but I really want to kiss you.” He said, making your eyes grow wide. You couldn’t help but smile and roll into your pillow, smiling like an idiot. “Its not too far. Not at all. I want to kiss you too. Badly.” You said, biting your lip. It took a little while for Ashton to reply but your phone lit up once more. “Now I really won’t be able to sleep. I have no idea why this desire is so strong now. I’ve always wanted to kiss you, but right now I really, really want to.” His text made you blush, but you grinned like an idiot, rolling into your pillow to muffle your squeals of excitement and joy. The night continued with texts going back and forth, all surrounding the concept that the desire for some physical contact was incredibly noticeable. Falling asleep with your phone on your chest, your dreams were oriented around Ashton, until you woke up to the bright light of the near noon sunlight shining on your face. You picked your phone up off of the mattress beside you, reading the missed messages from Ashton. You quickly texted him a good morning text, before beginning to get ready for the day. You stayed at home that day, mindlessly puttering around the house doing odd things that had been building up and needed to be done. It wasn’t until around seven that night you heard a knock on your door. You were puzzled because you weren’t expecting anybody to come over, but you made your way to the door. You opened it, your eyes growing wide as you saw Ashton standing there, leaning against the doorframe looking devilishly handsome. “Why hello,” He said, pushing himself off of the frame, and before you could even say a greeting he grabbed the back of your head and pulled you in for a kiss. His lips were just as you imagined, and you were knocked breathless at the intensity of the kiss. Your knees went weak, making Ashton wrap his free arm around you waist as you wound your arms around his neck. You broke apart, flushed and smiling as he stared down at you. “God damn.” He said, laughing. “I could do that all night,” He said. “Why don’t you?” You questioned. He grinned, bending down again, pushing you into the house, and shutting the door with his foot, never breaking the kiss.
