"The oxygen I breath feeds the fire in my soul".

In fiction, we often come across many types of girls; there's the shallow, evil chear captain; the "nerdy outcast" that miraculously turns into a model when she takes off her glasses, brushes her hair and puts on a dress; of course there's the pick-me "different from the rest" who sees herself in Taylor Swift's "You belong with me"; and let's not forget the edgy best friend.

But who says we come in formulas? Who says we have to fit into one of those categories. We're more than classic tropes; we can have separate traits of each cliché in one same person, and no matter how hard people try, we were not made to fit in boxes. We're unique.

Carolinne Jane Whittemore was a real enigma to anyone who tried to place her inside of a stereotype. On one hand, she was the typical high-school Queen Bee: blonde, thin, rich, Jackson Whittemore's sister and Lydia Martin's best friend. Everyone knew her, she was always attending parties, her phone was always blowing and her name was always trending. But popular girls, they are portrayed as evil; Carolinne saw no point in being mean. They were always superficial, she hated that kind of behavior. In movies, they are always dreaming about the day they'll marry their sweethearts, aka team captains, but Carol was running away from that and chasing her freedom instead. I mean, the Lacrosse team captain was her brother, after all, and she had no plans of dating any of his team mates -or anyone, for that matter- any time soon.

She loved teenage rom-coms but was also addicted to horror, loved to be surrounded by people but wasn't really an emotive person. Her style went from fancy exclusive brands all the way to sporty Abercrombie, going through flowery and colorful somewhere in the middle. Sneakers, high heels, boots, and flats were all uniquely beautiful and she adored them all.

Her closest friends? Lydia Martin, Danny Mahealani, Brett Talbot, Lori Talbot, and of course, her dear brother Jackson Whittemore. But that didn't stop her from hanging out with Scott McCall, Stiles Stilinski, and occasionally chatting with Erica Reyes or Vernon Boyd. Each of these people had something of different to offer, and she gladly embraced all of it.

But above everything, Carolinne was bold and daring. Some people called her a rebel, and she never denied it- "Rules were made to be questioned", she'd say. Carol never said "no" to a challenge, an adventure, anything thrilling and exciting. Which is why when Scott and Stiles called her to go look for a body (or better, half of a body) in the woods, she didn't think twice. That was gonna be a hell of a night.

-------
-Wait - she said - If they already found the body, then what are we doing exactly?? -She asked, as Stiles led her and Scott through the woods.
- They found the bottom half of it, we are looking for the top one! - Stiles explained, as if it were the most common thing in the world.
-Oh, right.
Best part about being friends with the Sheriff's son? You know everything before the rest of town. And right now the three of them were trying to stay away from the police's eyes, while looking for the upper part of a body that nobody else knew about. Ain't that awesome?

-Do you know anything about the victim? - Scott asked- Like, is it young or old, man or woman?
-For what I've heard, they think it's a young woman.
-Poor lady...
-You didn't even know her, Carol.
-I can still be sorry for her.
-Oh, you have feelings now, my bad.
-Haha, very funny, Stiles. What's that even supposed to mean?
-Scott, would you like to explain?
-Well Carolinne... You're not exactly the most sensitive person I know. That's not a bad thing it's just who you are. I remember this one day when we were like 6, one of the kids started crying, and all you said was: "I think it's broken".
-Ugh, whatever, stop reminding me of that.

They kept looking for a while, but no sign of a body. Nothing. What they did see, however, were flashlights. Cops.

Carolinne and Scott quickly hid behind trees while Stiles tried to stall his father. They heard the Sheriff say to the other people:
-This delinquent belongs to me!
She tried hard not to laugh after that, listening to Stiles promissing his dad that she and Scott were not there with him. As soon as she realized the chance, she ran as fast as she could, knowing that she'd be in trouble if anyone saw her.

Carol coudn't help but smile as the adrenaline ran trough her whole body. They might not have found a corpse, but the night had still been worth it. Running from the police was far from boring.

Little did they know, their entire lives were about to change forever.
