Katie and Maggie

By the time the girls went through to pick up Jared and Jensen as planned, everything was as ready as it could possibly be. Maggie had installed hidden cameras in the rented house so the others could enjoy watching things play out. The limo had been rented and secretly modified as planned, and a new driver was hired and briefed on what was to be expected.

Getting the cooperation of the demon dealer, whose name was Maxx, was even easier than Katie had expected. Turned out Maxx had his own axe to grind with the demon Bitch Lilitu, and was only too happy to help, with the proper monetary inducement as well, of course.

Hiring the household help for the day as well as the body guards was a piece of cake. Turns out high end bodyguards are well acquainted with the existence of the supernatural, you just had to know where to go to get them. Thanks again to Maxx, Katie now knew where that was. She was getting to be well educated in the workings of the underworld.

A rented Mercedes was parked visibly in the driveway, and the house, for all intents and purposes, looked expensive, well taken care of, and comfortably lived in. Everyone had their scripts and knew their parts. Operation Demon Bitch was ready to go.

The auction was set to take place between 2 and 3 in the afternoon. At 1:45 Maggie chained up the boys in the dungeon and set the cameras to display them to advantage. The cameras were fed into a secret Internet address, which Maggie had scrambled all over the world, and Katie was accessing it on her laptop at the house, as well as on several screens placed in different rooms.

At 2pm exactly, the phone with the number that Maxx had leaked to Lilitu rang, and was answered by Jim, one of the bodyguards, who simply said "Yes."

"I want to place a bid on the Winchesters," said a female voice.

"What is your bidding number please?" asked Jim politely.

"I don't have a bidding number," came the answer.

"I'm sorry Ma'am, but this auction is by special invitation only. You cannot bid without a number."

"Listen, you, I was given this number to call. I was not given a bidding number. I insist on being in on the bidding."

"One moment please," said Jim and put her on hold for several minutes, while everyone involved was smiling happily that things were working as planned.

After a few minutes, Jim went back online and said, "The seller may be inclined to make a last minute exception, if you can meet the requirements."

"I know the requirements, assuming I have been given the proper information."

"I shall reiterate them for you. The bidding will start at $1 million, to be paid in person in cash. The winner must be present in person, and your identity must be vouched for by a trusted dealer. All other bidders are so verified already. If you can present your verification before the auction ends at precisely three o'clock, the seller may entertain your bid."

"I was given this number by Maxx, a dealer you should know," she said tightly. It was obvious she was getting annoyed.

"Maxx should have given you a bidding number," said Jim.

"Well he didn't!" she practically spat at the phone.

"The problem is easily rectified, but at this point you will need to come here in person with your cash. Two body guards are permitted to accompany you. We can have Maxx verify your identity via cell phone."

"Fine, what's the address?"

Jim gave her the address, and the game, as they say, was afoot.

At 2:40 the doorbell rang, and Katie got her first glimpse of her enemy via camera feed to her laptop, as the door was opened by a hired maid. She was accompanied by the expected two body guards, who matched Georgie's description of her two top lieutenants.
