-April-

Day: 300

The Avengers had gone through multiple incidents with Ultron Sentinels attacking New York and other locations. Each Avenger went to a different location to fight off the Sentinels. Lucy had gone less than the others due to Tony pretty much forcing her to stay at the Tower with Harley. She decided if she stayed then any trouble in the city would be her priority. Steve had gone to Austin, Texas with Thor on one of their missions. They had returned around the same time everyone else did. Each of the Avengers were suited up and gathered in the laboratory of the Tower, Harley being in the room standing with Lucy and Steve as Tony spoke about the Sentinels. The lights had suddenly cut out.

"Jarvis, can you turn the lights back on?" Tony asked to the AI.

"Additional illumination is not required for me to see you, Mr. Stark," Jarvis replied from the darkness.

"Yeah, we played the "I Wear My Sunglasses at Night" game before, but all of us need light to see."

"Mr. Stark, I have seen you for many years. The only possible conclusion I could create: You are the most intelligent person of your species." Everyone became confused at the AI's words.

"Do you need an upgrade, Jarvis? I never programmed you for flattery."

"You and your actions are illogical."

"Tony," Lucy began to ask, "What's wrong with him?"

"He ordered the destruction of 217 autonomous robotic armors, Miss Stark," Jarvis spoke in reply. "Devices which could've protected 12.45 of your cities and saved countless lives. And you, Tony, did order in to increase your chances of pair-coupling with Miss Potts. In conclusion, therefore, that if the pinnacle of the human race is illogical, your species as a whole is incapable of logic."

"Is this about the 'Hulkbuster' suit?" Tony questioned. "I know that was your favorite..."

"Hulkbuster suit?" Steve asked aloud in shock and slight anger.

"That is a human concept," Jarvis continued as a reply to Tony. "I will confess, however, that I did not completely follow the clean slate protocol. One suit, though, I had kept as my own design. Would you like to see it?"

"Absolutely," Tony replied sounding worried. The door of the lab opened revealing a suit of silver armor, the only other thing visible on the suit is the pulsing red energy of its mouth. "That's sort of a radical new look for me, isn't it?"

"The Mark U-5 is not for you, Tony." Jarvis's voice changed to an octave, no recognition of him at all. "It is for me." The eyes of the suit lit up as if they were closed before. Red energy surged at its figures as it blew a hole in the wall near where Clint stood causing the light to shine in illuminating the room. Harley moved to an area behind Lucy and Steve as each of the Avengers, besides Bruce who was trying not to 'Hulk-out,' began to try and fight off their foe. After a while Lucy realized she was the last man, or woman, standing and immediately became confused as to why that was.

"Captain?" Jarvis's voice now asked but mixed with the deeper one which was recognizable as Ultron. "What would you do if the one you love were gone? Or be put in danger?"

"Steve!" Lucy exclaimed as she was grabbed by the throat and pulled back toward the hole in the wall. Steve quickly stood grabbing his shield but stopped halfway toward Ultron as he held the woman over the edge of the open building. Lucy didn't try to struggle with getting out of the AI's grip for she would fall either way. Tony moved next to Steve pointing a repulsor in Ultron's direction.
