Anong kailangan niya? I tapped the green button to answer the call.

"Good morning, Chief," I greeted him flatly.

"What is this all about? Bakit ka nasa ACIS?" he queried, annoyed, yet his authority remained. He didn't even greet me back; that means he's mad.

"To investigate the serial killing, Chief," I said in an obvious manner.

"Pumunta ka dito sa HQ, mag-usap tayo." No more than that, and he ended the call.

I admit that I was paid to shut my mouth and shoo the cops. However, I just acquired the money for the show. Mahirap na kung paghihinalaan nila ako.

I hissed and shook my head. Nahihinuha kong walang patutunguhan ang pag-uusap namin mamaya.

5:50 AM. I stormed my ass in Chief Gusion's office. He comfortably sat on his swivel chair. His aura is stiff, and he shouts authority. His arms were on top of his table, leaning. His face was flat,t and his cold eyes told me he was really mad. What's the big deal? Sinenyasan niya akong maupo sa lounge.

"Report," he ordered with authority, not breaking his gaze.

"As you can see, may krimeng nagaganap sa ACIS at trabaho ko-- natin na mag-imbestiga," I began, and he nodded, implying that I needed to give him more than three valid reasons. Is the crime itself a valid reason for us, cops?

"Look, if you're thinking this is about your daughter, it's not--"

"'Cause it is about your daughter, right?" he cuts me of, smirking.

"Fuck it, Chief!" I hissed at him and put my hand on my waist, stressed.

What happened to his principles? How dare he utter those words?!

He shook his head, smirking.

"We're in the same boat. Balita ko wala kang prinsipyo at bayaran kang parak- - " He fucking cuts me off.

"Deputy Hanzo! You're just a deputy. I'm a chief. Don't forget that!" he roared, sending me blazing glares while his jaw is tightly clenched. He's mad as retard fuck!

Matunog akong ngumisi, "Fuck ranking and hierarchy!" I enraged, clenching my jaw as well.

"Jayshin," he called me, full of authority. He's only calling me by my real name if I get on his nerves.

What can I do? That's my intention. Aside from that, it is my job as a cop.

"I'll do whatever I want. Let us leave that way. I still have the authority to decide.

My phone vibrated and rang at the same time, an indication that someone had just called. I was about to hit the call button when it hung up. Maybe he ended the call. In a minute, a text message popped on my notification board.

Brint Verstte: A new case this morning.

"Shit!" I didn't bother replying and inserted my phone in my pocket.

Brint Verstte: Time Alvin Cruiz is dead.

Kasunod ng text ng pinsan ko. Why can't he just call me? Mahirap makipag-text habang nagmamaneho besides bawal 'yon. I saw Schy Chadler talking to my cousin, Brint. I noticed that this kid is always present at crime scenes and whenever there's chaos. What is with this kid?

He is a spy, I'm sure of it.

Poor him. He's too young. Whoever the serial killer is, he must be caught as soon as possible.

"Excuse me po, p'wede po bang magtanong? Anong pong nangyari?" Schy asked Brint who's busy mandating his team. He's hopeless, napaka-bossy niya.

Schy shouldn't be here and witness this kind of stuff, but it seemed like na walang makakapigil sa kaniya. He'll do whatever he wants.

"And you are?" hinarap siya ng pinsan ko at nakipag-shake hands.

"Schy Lander Chadler." He shook my cousin's hand.

"I am Brint from SC Forensics. Nag-suicide ang schoolmate niyo mula sa itaas ng building na 'to," he said, pointing to the school's main building from the top.

Brint was making things. Walang dapat makaalam na undercover kami kaya kahit pa kailangan namin magsinungaling at magpanggap ay gagawin namin. That's logic, right?

'Wag mo sanang alisin 'yung possibility na pinatay siya," he leaned and whispered. He whispered his statement, but I still heard it.

Brint's face darkened, and he faced him.

"Anong trabaho mo? Wala ka ngang ibang ginawa kundi mag-utos at magmandar d'yan. Eh, nas'an yung pulis? This kid is really something.

He was about to hit the call button when I grabbed his phone and kept it in my pocket.

"Ibalik mo nga 'yan!" he said, annoyed. He seemed like he didn't like me—my whole existence, indeed.

Now, I understand why Brint acted like that earlier. He acts like he doesn't care at all about Time's cadaver and whether he committed suicide or whether it was intentional.
