You woke up.

It was quite a weird dream, regarding your past memories. Nonetheless, you had to get up and get ready. Wait... Today is the day you travel to Liyue with Tartaglia!

You once again checked your bag filled with basic necessities. You'll be staying in Liyue for a month, so if you'll be in need of anything - you'll just buy it. Besides, Fatui was famous for having an endless amount of money.

As soon as the clock striked 10 am, you set off to the docks. It's better to be there earlier than later. It still was an hour till your ship sails out. In the meantime, you can look around for a bit.

Before you leave for your new adventure with Childe, you decided to bid your goodbyes to Tsaritsa. You knocked on her office door 3 times.

Silence.

You turn to leave, but suddenly you hear Her Highness allowing you to enter her office. You do just that.

"- Ah, Y/N! What are you doing here so early? I thought for sure that you'd like to sleep in, since you might need quite a bit of energy. Would you like some tea? Or maybe coffee, perhaps?"

You slightly bowed your head and with a smile answered :

"- Thank you, Your Highness, but I'm afraid that I don't quite have time for that. In less than an hour I will be meeting Harbinger Tartaglia at the docks. We'll be going for his missions in Liyue. I just wanted to say goodbye and... Thank you, for everything you've done for me so far. I'm really grateful." - You said the last sentence sheepishly.

To that, Tsaritsa just smiled. She gracefully stood up and walked up to you. You couldn't keep the eye contact. Tsaritsa was one of the most powerful women in the whole Teyvat history. She crushed her enemies not just by her strength - she was also an incredibly beautiful woman. If looks could kill - you'd be already dead.

"- My dearest, look at me." - she chanted.

You did as you were told. And once again, you were met with her deep blue eyes and red lips forming a small, warm and gentle smile. She spoke :

"- It's my pleasure. Besides, my Harbingers needed someone to be there for them. I expect you to be much more than just their assistant. I'd like you to become their friend - someone they can trust. Of course, what I'm trying to say is that the better my Harbingers feel - the better is their work quality. Do you get what I mean? Besides, you'll be assisting them on their missions. So from now on I expect the best results."

You swallowed a lump in your throat. The expectations were surely high, but you can't just turn back now. Her Highness noticed your nervousness and just laughed, making you a bit confused.

"- Ah, Y/N, your face is priceless! Don't be so nervous, I'm sure you'll do great. Besides, Childe is your first 'mentor', so you'll be able to learn the basic assistant duties quite easily. He is not a bad kid, just make sure that he doesn't lose himself in his bloodlust or else he'll get out of hand."

"- Thank you. I promise to do my best, Your Highness."- You tried to announce as confidently as possible, even though you were sure that your voice was still wavering.

Tsaritsa smiled once again. She patted your shoulder and both of you bid your goodbyes. Right after leaving her office, you decided to head right to your meeting place with Tartaglia.

You arrived 10 minutes early. As you looked around, a certain orange head caught your attention. It looked like he was giving out orders to the lower rank Fatui members. "He must be a really busy man," - you thought. You started approaching the Harbinger and he noticed you not long after that. He waved at you with a big smile plastered all over his face.

"- Hey comrade! How are you feeling? Excited? Nervous? Tired already?" - asked Childe.

"- Good morning! I'm feeling quite well, thank you. And yeah, I am quite excited. This is something I've never done before after all." - you answered.

"- I'm sure we'll be fine, besides, you have one of the strongest Fatui Harbingers as your first mentor!'' - The boy chirped.

As soon as he finished his sentence, everyone started getting into the ship. It was a private Fatui ship. It looked quite fancy, which you weren't complaining about. As both of you got into the ship, Tartaglia insisted that you relax with him in a luxurious cabin. Besides, it was a perfect opportunity to get to know each other better. Childe seemed to have quite a few questions about you.

"- Say, Y/N, what's up with that mask you're wearing? Doesn't it get hot? Isn't it hard to breathe with that thing on? How did you get it? Can you remove it? Are you hiding something?"

You were overwhelmed with questions, but it was a good sign. Tartaglia knew how to start and keep the conversation going. Once again, you silently thanked Tsaritsa in your head for giving him to you as your first mentor.

"- The mask was given to me by Tsaritsa herself. I suppose it's good for hiding my identity, since I'm afraid there still are some people looking for me... Probably..."

Childe gave you a questioning look.

"- Someone is searching for you?.. Why?.. Are you a wanted war criminal who steals peoples hearts? Because you surely are cute enough to do just that." - Tartaglia tried to make a flirtatious joke, but it wasn't one of his best ones.

You scoffed at his remark.

"- I answered your question, now you answer one of mine!"

You went silent for a moment, before speaking again :

"- You seem quite nice and friendly. How did someone like you end up in The Fatui?"

Tartaglia froze. He stared at the meat bun he was holding in his right hand. You got quite anxious :

"- I-If you don't want to answer it - it's fine! Please forgive me, I stepped out of the line-"

"- No, it's fine. Don't worry about it. I'll tell you."- You were cut off by Childe.

And so, Tartaglia told you about his childhood, the Abyss Order and The Fatui. He didn't get into small details, and you can't blame him. Everything sounded pretty sad. You were sorry for the young man, you really were. You took a mental note, that maybe next time before asking for something like this you should reconsider.

As he finished his story, the young Harbinger wanted to lift the mood. He started asking you about your hobbies, favourite foods. The topics never seemed to end and it was quite fun chatting with him. At 3pm the ship arrived to Liyue Harbor.

You must admit - Liyue was a spectacular city. Even from the first glance it left you speechless. Tartaglia must've noticed your excitement as he approached you once again :

"- Yeah, Liyue is quite amazing. I'll show you around once we have a few free minutes to ourselves, what do you say?"

"- That'd be lovely! Thank you!" - you beamed.

"- You're welcome. Now, let's get going." - Childe said as he started walking towards the city.

"- Oh? Where are we going?"

"- To the Northland Bank!"
