You were woken up by the sun shining through the small gap of your tent's entry.
Even though you probably slept for good seven hours, you still felt extremely sleepy and exhausted.
You raised your dominant hand to brush the hair out of your face when suddenly you jolted from pain.
Looking down on your bandaged hand, you suddenly remembered everything that had happened yesterday. The fight with The Traveler and an incident at Scaramouche's tent.
After you rushed out of The Harbinger's tent, you ran to the nearby small river, where you tried to cool off your hand. Then, you returned to your tent, bandaged your hand and went to sleep.
You remembered all of yesterday's events well. You got snapped out of your thoughts when you heard Fatui agents talk.
They have probably started their training for the day, as they seemed to be choosing partners to spar with. This was a sign that you must get up and get ready for a new day, too. With a deep exhale, you jumped out of your bed and tried dressing up as fast as possible. Except it was quite hard to do with an injured hand.
Upon getting changed, you changed the bandages on your hand, trying not to vocally vince at the sight of the wound. There was one weakness to your power. Sure, you were not capable on the battlefield, but you were quite a quick and effective healer. Except... you couldn't heal yourself. No matter how hard you tried, your healing powers just did not work on you.
As you bandaged your dominant hand as neatly as possible, you made your way out of the tent. You've decided to skip on breakfast since you've already taken long enough. It would take a miracle for Scaramouche to not snap at you for being late.
Or so you thought. At a quick pace, you made your way through the training grounds, towards your Harbinger's tent. You felt nervous, as you were not sure about how The Harbinger is going to react to the fact that you plainly ran out of his tent the other day.
If you were being honest, you were tired beyond your limits. Tired of being scared, tired of being pushed around. You just wished to end all the bickering between you and The Harbinger.Maybe you should just stay silent from now on?.. Was it possible to avoid all the conflicts if you didn't communicate at all? Maybe if you just didn't talk back, things would've been so much better...
As you made your way to The Harbinger's tent, you noticed how the veil of the tent's entry had been lifted, signaling that The Harbinger has already left.
Great. Now you were for sure that you'd get in trouble."- You're finally awake." - you heard a voice come from your right.
As you turned your head, you saw The Harbinger approach you.
You turned your whole body to him and bowed your head for a greeting. What did not go unnoticed by you was The Harbinger's lingering gaze on your bandaged hand. With that, you hid your hand behind you, not wanting to draw any unnecessary attention to the matter.
At your action, The Harbinger seemed to frown.Scaramouche sighed.
"- ...We don't have much work for today. Just watching over the new recruits is our main task for this day." - The Harbinger spoke, as he started walking towards the main training grounds.
You only nodded, as you followed the man.You felt somewhat at ease, knowing that today is going to be a more easy day. You wanted to let your hand to heal in peace, so this was a perfect opportunity. Besides, Scaramouche did not seem to be in the mood to annoy you, which felt like a blessing from above.
It was going to be a great day.
