"Claudette," I heard my name being called. It was Hugo. He was by the stairs. I had been in the operating house all morning.

"Oui?" I answered.

"Chloë wants you to organise all the codes by category according to financial and military," he ordered, "have it done before 14h00."

I simply nodded as he dropped the file on my lap. I opened it and looked through. Somehow they had gotten US financial and military codes. I couldn't dispose of the information because then it was raise suspicion. I had to think about what to do. Suddenly I heard Hugo's and Chloë's voices in the next room. I decided to get closer to hear the conversation clearer.

"So when's he coming back?" Hugo asked.

"Probably at 16h00. We should let Claudette go after that. She shouldn't be around for the conversation," Chloë said.

"Oui. We can't trust her fully yet. Especially since what we what to do is not according to the plan," Hugo said, "lemme go check up on her."

I quickly scurried back to the workspace and sat down, filling out codes.

"Everything fine?" he asked.

"Oui," I answered.

"You don't talk a lot," he chuckled, "that's good. You can't learn too much by talking. You have to listen."

"I agree," I spoke. He dropped his head next to mine and brought his voice down to a whisper.

"If only I wasn't seeing someone," he smirked and left the room. Disgusting. He didn't deserve Noelle but I was in no position to comment on that. That wasn't what I was sent here to do.

After filling out all the codes, which took very long, I was tasked with another tedious admin job while everyone else was having lunch in the kitchen. Now was the chance to breach the database with their personal information.

I went onto the central computer and tried to look for any indication of the personal database. After infiltrating some firewalls, I eventually got to where I needed.

I took my USB, hidden in the necklace I was given by the service, and put it in the computer.

"Claudette!" I heard Chloë yelling my name.

"Crap," I cursed under my breath and quickly took the USB out. I heard her footsteps enter the room.

"Come eat. We don't want you complaining to the embassy that we don't feed you now," she laughed and I joined her to lower suspicion.

I stood up and followed her to the kitchen. I sat down at a table with all the people present in the house so far. It was five, including Chloë and Hugo.

"So Claudette," Chloë began, "top performing recruit at the embassy training center?"

"Oui," I smiled.

"Excellente. How do you manage that?" she asked as she dug into her croissant.

"Well I just like to over perform I assume," I chilled with a shrugged.

"Ah don't all French people do?" she questioned, causing the whole table to laugh.

"What is it you do exactly?" one of the other working members ask.

"I work as a baker's assistant at a pastry shop. I went to chef school in France," I recited.

"Oh," another member chirped, "my cousin did too. Which one did you go to?"

I began to panic. I had no idea what to say.

As I was about to answer, we heard a car pull up outside.

"He's here," Chloë murmured to Hugo who was sitting next to her. They both got up.

"Listen you all did some good work today but I'm afraid we're going to have you send you all home. We'll meet again this Saturday at 9h00," Chloë announced with a smile. Everyone got up from the table and headed for the door.

"You too Claudette," Hugo signalled as I was still sitting down, watching everyone leave.

"Oh," I said coyly. I got up and went to the door. I left the house and I looked at the car in the driveway. I then looked down to see my USB was showing from my necklace so I decided to stop and fix it only to be bumped.

"Merci," I heard the voice. His voice.

I looked up and got the shock of my life. It was Grayson. Right there before me. My eyes couldn't believe it.

Before I could respond, he had already disappeared into the house.
