All the reliefe you felt earlier completely left your body. Where is Connie? Is she ok? Had she gone into hiding? The thought that you had absolutley no idea what had happened to her made you crazy. Charlie noticed your distressed state, and immediatley knew something was wrong as he quickly appeared at your side.

"(Y/n)? What's wrong?" He looked like he wanted to ask more, but you had started to wave your hands in a strange pattern while trying to get something out.

"She's-" You tried to say, but couldn't. "She's!" You knew Charlie didn't understand, and by now you had gained the attention of Molly, too.

"Who?" Charlie asked, trying to understand what you were trying to say, though he had a hard time.

"She- C-Connie!" You were still waving your hands around, but that was the least of your concernes. Connie was gone.

"Connie? Connie Hammer? That short blondine who always write to you?" At first Charlie looked confused, but then something seemed to click inside his head.

"I have to check on her! I- she!" You tried to leave the house, but Charlie held you back.

"(Y/n), look at me." Charlie started, but you needed to get out of the house. You needed to know what happened to your friend. "Look at me!" Charlie said a little louder, finally getting your attention as you quickly turned your head to face him. It wasn't often Charlie raised his voice with you, so those few times he did, startled you. "You need to calm down."

"But she's-" you started protesting, but Charlie looked at you strictly.

"We'll look for her, but you have to calm down first." Charlie tried again, but you couldn't. The thought that she might have been sent off to Azkaban was killing you inside.

You didn't know when, but somewhere during your panic, you had started crying, and you only realised when Charlie's face softened, and he reached a hand up to your face trying to wipe away the tears, but they just kept on streaming down.

You felt like a horrible person. She used to write a letter to you at least once a month, but you hadn't recieved a single letter from her since before Bill and Fleur's wedding, and that happened about three months ago! How could you not have noticed? How could you not have thought a single thought about her safety? You knew the ministry was hunting them down, so how could you not have thought about your outspoken little muggleborn friend?

Some time during your little break down Molly had left the room, leaving only you and Charlie in the livingroom. Tears still streamed down, but you had managed to calm your breathing. Charlie held you to his chest, while giving your hair soft strokes.

"Breathe, (Y/n)..." Charlie whispered into your hair. "We'll find out what happened." You weakly nodded into him while trying really hard to stop the tears.

It took some good fifteen minutes, but you did manage to stop the tears in the end, your red, puffy eyes being the only proof that you had been crying. Molly had entered the room again with a cup of tea for you, which you gratefully accepted, being even more grateful that she didn't question your actions earlier.

It truly broke you that you hadn't thought about Connie. She had looked after you so many times, forced you to be social, and even did your reports for a whole month just to get you to join them to the Quidditch world cup. Connie had always tried to include you on everything, and you thanked her by forgetting about her existence.

Charlie came back to the livingroom, him having left for a bit for unknown reasons, and returned with a small bag of some sort.

"Are you better now?" He asked as he kneeled in front of you. Honestly, no. You didn't feel any better, but you nodded your head yes, in the hopes that you would get to go look for Connie. At first, Charlie gave you a strict look, hinting that he knew you were lying, but then it softened and he gave you a small nod back. "Then let's go."
