Anne was looking at Brent while he shook Matt's milk bottle, contemplating. Will she tell him what had happened today, or she have to keep it a secret? If she did, what good would it bring her?

The entire relationship they had. She was always hesitant to tell him about the problems she encountered. Her past behavior of thinking that she could handle it in her way or it would disappear on its own had aided in ruining their relationship. Isn't it time for her to learn to share her troubles with Brent?

Brent was a good father. She could see how he doted on Matt.

Then she smiled at the thought that, as a lover, she has no complaints.

She cannot blame Amanda to fight for her love. Could she do it too? This was her second chance to be with him? Will she still be a coward like she was before?

"Hey, babe, what about that looked? Do I look so sexy holding Matt's bottle that I could see the drool coming out of your mouth?" She wiped her mouth, which brought a chuckle from him.

"Daddy, my milk." Matt's voice stopped her from negating his claim.

"Here it is, my son," Brent said in a sing-song voice while walking towards the bed, where a sleepy-eyed Matt awaits. She couldn't help but notice that Brent sounds happy today. Would he still be if she told him of Amanda's visit?

She turned her back to them and continue on the sketches she was making. After a few minutes with no sound from father and son, she turned around. Brent's penetrating eyes on her made her touch the lapel on her robe and pull it away from her neck. She has this feeling that his gaze was constricting her breathing.

"I had noticed since I arrived you look so distracted. Is something bothering you?" Gone was the jovial mood in his voice. He sounded like a stern father who was interrogating his child.

"I need to talk to you once Matt is asleep." Those words came out of her mouth before she could even evaluate the need for it. Brent answered her with a confused smile and was going to speak, but then she raised her hand. "Sorry, maybe another time."

As soon as she couldn't help but reprimand herself for being a coward. It didn't stop her from turning her back on him. She then gathered her sketchbook and put them inside the drawer.

Tomorrow night would be the best time to do her sketches. Tonight she has to sleep before she could utter something that she has no plans of saying.

Once done, she walked to the bed without a glance at Brent. She then turned her back on him as soon as her head hit the pillow and pulled the blanket.

Once her breathing had settled down from its rapid one earlier, her mind could think again.

Brent has been good with her and Matt these few months. He had shown his sincerity in getting back on her and building a complete family for their child. So why does she hesitate in accepting him? Was it because of the criticism that she would receive if anyone would find out about her and Matt?

"Babe, what is happening to you?" Brent's hands on her arms surprised her. But she didn't let him know it. Instead, she turned to face him. Her eyes widen as soon as she noticed his nearness.

When did he even move towards her? He was like a shark that swam so silently and fast, leaving its prey off guard. She was not even aware he had moved Matt.

He smiled mischievously at her and then said," He is in my back, sleeping already."

"When did you even do that?"

"Just now," Brent answered her as if it was a normal thing for him to move without noise.

"Come morning, he would complain again."
