"Marie!" Matt shouted while running to her, and so she bends on her knees with an outreached hands to hug him.

"Why are you here, Marie? Are we going somewhere?" Matt asked once she loosened her arms on him.

" I cannot wait to give you my surprise, so I come here."

"Yehey! Where is it?" Matt asked while checking on her hand and then on her side, which made her laugh. She stands up and then holds Matt's hands," It is not with me but outside."

"Ohh, it is the car that I asked you, Marie?"

"Matt, are you going out with your mommy?" Miss Summer, Matt's teacher, asked him which save her from answering him. Matt nods, and then she thanked his teacher before walking out of the building with the excited Matt.

While they were walking and Matt guessing his surprise, she can't help but think of what had just transpired before she entered Matt's preschool.

Brent never hinted at where they were going. When they are on the street going to Matt's preschool, her nervousness began as she knows something was not right.

The belief that Brent doesn't know about the secret hidden by her seemed futile, but still, she pretended nothing amiss. Even when they parked in front of it, she didn't say anything. She hoped that it was her guilt, which made her hallucinate being in front of the preschool.

Brent's voice telling his driver to go out of the car made her cringed on her seat as she realized it is for real and knows something was coming. She didn't wait long as he barked on her, "Tell me now, what you had kept from me? This time don't ever make up stories if you do not want to see how bad a person I can be, Marie."

It was then she slowly looked at him and almost ran away from fright at the way he stares at her with glaring eyes, and bared teeth as if ready to devour her. No matter how angry he was before, he never let her see this side of him. As if her silence made him more furious, she saw him clench his jaw before taking out his phone from his pocket and then opened it. He brows for a few seconds and then shows her the picture.

Her eyes widen upon seeing whose face is on the screen, " When did you know?" She asked while she raised her head to look at him. She knows if someone other than Brent can see her now, they will see a woman whose eyes were full of fear.

" It doesn't matter when, but how can you do this to me? What right do you have to keep him away from me?" Brent asked in a raised voice.

"Will, you do not want to say anything?" She heard Brent shouted at her when still she didn't answer. How she wished to say," it was not her intention, but circumstances and people pushed her," but she cannot give it as her reason. All she can do is to keep quiet and shed tears. Besides, he will not believe her if she tells him, and worst he might accuse her of involving other people to justify her action."

"If I didn't see Matt last Saturday and become curious about his identity. Will, you ever tell me?" he asked in a voice full of pain than anger.

"I'm sorry, Brent," she finally said to him in full remorse.

"You should be sorry now for yourself because I want my son."

"What do you mean?" she looked at him while wiping the tears on her face with her hand.

"Isn't it the time for me to have him?" He asked her as she sniffed, "unless you want to fight me in court. Not only can it have a psychological effect on Matt but can make a hole in your wallet." Brent told her.

What Brent said made her realize, he is threatening her of a lawsuit. If there will be a fight for custody, she will be dragging her son in the long process of battling for custody. "Brent, can we talk about it and come into compromise?" She decided to plea instead of making him angrier.
