Alexandra's POV
Holding the small silver wedding band, I can't help but brush my finger over the engraved name inside that always put a smile to my heart
Ace Anderson
Knowing my name was too engraved in his band, forever, made me happy.
Today was my birthday.
Laying in bed, I was alone left wondering where Ace might have gone this early in the morning. I force myself to sit up and place my hands on my very grown stomach. I was a couple weeks away from my due date.
I smile from the inside but I had no more energy to force a smile out on my face. Everything felt like it was drained out of me and I was now just left with no energy which worsened my mood.
"How you doin baby girl?" I softly ask placing my hands around my stomach and let out a sigh
"Mommas trying to stay strong. I'm just so tired"
I move away from my thoughts when I hear a knock on the bedroom door before it's opened.
In walked Ace, carrying a tray filled with food. Oh how well he knows me-
"Good morning birthday girl" he says with a smile and places the tray of food on the night stand beside the bed
I give him a small smile and point to the food
"What's this?"
"A special breakfast for a special someone" he leans down and places a kiss on my lips
"You always knew the way to my heart" I raise a brow and he smiles joining me on the bed
He reaches for the tray and places it in-front of both of us Pancakes with a smile and a heart made out of blueberries and strawberries
"You're so cute you know that?" I smile feeling my mood lighten up
"Did you just call me 'cute-'" he asks raising a brow
I reach for his cheeks and pinch them "You're so cute and adorable" I say in a baby voice and I let out a snort
He grabs my arms and swiftly pushes me back against the headboard, hovering over me with his face inches away from mine.
"Call me 'cute' one more time and we shall see what happens" he says, his voice lowering
Looking into his icy blue eyes I could never get enough of, he brushes his lips against mine. I bit my lower lip for a quick second before his lips are placed on mine.
Oh I could never get enough of those lips.
I bring my hand up to his cheek and can't help but lightly pinch it, while smiling into the kiss.
"You're insane" he mumbles with a smile
"You're so cute"
"My cheeks hurt" he pulls away looking at me with his now red cheeks
