"No my shifts over. Sorry Mary" I chirp walking over to the locker room to grab my things

"Ugh, you lucky girl!" Mary, my friend at work says with a whine

"Byeee" I say and enter the locker room walking over to my locker to grab my things

It's been a long long day at work and I'm happy to finally be going home

It's been a week since I've come back to work and it's been wonderful but tiring...

Wearing my jacket, I grab my bag and walk out the room to the elevator

I wanted my bed. Oh, my bed!

"Oh Alex, before you leave. The patient in room 605 is refusing to take his meds unless you give them to him" Mary says stopping me from getting into the elevator

"Oh, Mr. Daryn is a stubborn old man. Fine, let me go give them to him" I say taking the cup with his meds out of her hand and walking towards his room

"Mr. Daryn.." I say Knocking on his door, I enter and find him on his bed reading a magazine

"My favourite nurse" he says with a smile

"I've heard your refusing to take your meds? Why?" I ask passing him a cup of water

"It's an excuse to see you" he says with a wink and I let out a laugh

"Oh Mr. Daryn, how are you feeling" I ask him

"Better now that your here" he says

"Alright, alright. I've got to get home. I need to sleep. Now be a good boy and behave with the nurses" I say with a stern look

"Why don't you just sleep here?" He asks

"Oh my god! You're something else!" I say heading out the door

"Goodnight!" I call our before heading into the elevator

Home home home home home home
Home time!!!!

Exiting the big home for the sick, I see Gary's car and get in.

"Miss Alex, how was your day?" He asks me

"Hi Gary, oh I'm so tired. How was yours?" I ask

"Well, didn't do much really" he says as he starts driving home
