Chapter 26

[Taichu Private Hospital, Taipei Taiwan 8:00 pm]

"Are you busy?" Shuhua leaned her back on the couch as she keeps her phone close to her ear, while watching over Henry.

It took her a whole hour to convince her mother to just rest for today.

"Not really." Shuhua can hear some rattling sound from the other line. "Sorry, I just got out from shower." Soojin added as she grabs her towel from the rack. Shuhua choke on her own saliva, her cheeks heating up.

Her mind started to get clouded with inappropriate thoughts. She moves the phone away from her ear for a moment as she shakes her head trying to get her composure back.

"Shuhua?" Soojin called out, snapping Shuhua back to reality. She immediately placed her phone close to her ear again. "Y-es?" Soojin giggles hearing Shuhua stutter for the first time.

"Are you okay?" Shuhua took a deep breath before responding making sure that she won't stutter this time. "Yes, I'm okay." Shuhua answered in a more calm manner. Her nerves finally calmed down, mind much more clearer.

'I shouldn't be thinking things like that.' Shuhua laugh at her own thought.

"Have you eaten already?" the question made Shuhua realize that she haven't really gotten any dinner. Her eyes fell on the empty cups on the small table. All this time she's been drinking coffee after lunch.

Soojin frowned when she didn't got any response from Shuhua. She placed her phone down, putting it on speaker as she grabs her blow-dryer by the vanity table.

"Shuhua." that may seem like a normal way of calling someone but Shuhua can feel her skin getting goosebumps. "Answer me honestly Yeh Shuhua." Soojin said firmly.

Shuhua stood up, walking near Henry's bed. 'I'll be back.' Shuhua planted a soft kiss on his forehead before heading out of the room. "I'm sorry Jinjin, I'll go eat outside." It wasn't even that late yet the hospital was in entire silence.

You might actually hear the sound of needle being dropped on the floor by how the hallway was so clear.

Soojin released a sigh as she started to dry her hair which Shuhua can perfectly hear. "Are you sure you're gonna be safe eating alone outside?" Soojin was worried at the thought of Shuhua going out of the hospital at this time.

South Korea is only ahead by an hour to Taiwan.

"I'm safe here JinJin and besides I'm not really alone." Shuhua softly said as she exits the premises, heading to the parking lot. Well it was a great decision to have her car sent here from their home.

"Do you have a friend with you right now?" Shuhua couldn't decipher what kind of tone Soojin has right now. "No I don't have but I have you so I'm not totally alone." Shuhua cheekily said before entering her car. She actually missed her very own car.

It was a gift from her mother when she turned to legal age so she took a good care of it.

Soojin heaved out a sigh of relief but at the same time her face was heating up because of the younger ones words. "I like us being like this. When you left four years ago, we didn't really have contact with each other and I still regret not seeing you before you go." Soojin turned off the blow-dryer, grabbing her phone.
