Morgana smiled as she tilted her head back and enjoyed the warm sunshine of New York as they picnicked in central park next to a duck pond, her children were currently messing around with a kite as she, Rory, Amy and The Doctor lounged on a picnic blanket. Her Dearest reading a book out loud to them as she leant her head against his

chest, enjoying the rumble of his voice.

"New York growled at my window, but I was ready for it. My stocking seams were straight, my lipstick was combat-ready, and I was packing cleavage that could fell an ox at twenty feet." He read

"Doctor, you're doing it again," Amy said

"I'm reading!" he defended himself "sweetheart wanted me to!"

"Aloud. Please could you not?" Amy complained

"I enjoy it" Morgana slurred lazily as she opened her eyes lazily "he's very dramatic and he does the voices, it's highly entertaining"

"oh, well if he does the voices then" Amy huffed rolling her eyes

"There's something different about you, isn't there?" the Doctor asked her suspicious

"What's the book?" Rory asked in interest

"Melody Malone. She's a private detective in old town New York." The Doctor explained the premise of the story

"She's got ice in her heart and a kiss on her lips, and a vulnerable side she keeps well hidden." Amy mocked

The Doctor perked up in excitement "Oh, you've read it?"

"she's mocking you, Dearest" Morgana informed him lazily, pouting at him, he chuckled and plucked a strawberry from the plastic box, feeding it to her. She hummed as the sweetness burst on her tongue, delicious.

"You read it. Aloud. And then went yowzah!" Amy pointed out

"Only you could fancy someone in a book." Rory snickered

"I'm just reading it. I just like the cover." He defended himself poorly "why would I want some fictional character when I have my sweetheart?"

"because fictional characters aren't real and ergo aren't a threat, Morgana can't kill fictional characters" Rory rolled his eyes

"hmmm, you underestimate my desires for vengeance and capability to carry out said vengeance R" Morgana smirked at him as he huffed at her

"Ooo, can we see the cover?" Amy asked

The Doctor blushed and yanked the book away "No, no, I'm busy. It's your hair! Is it your hair?" he guessed randomly

"Oh, shut up. It's the glasses. I'm wearing reading glasses now, on my nose, see? There you go." Amy gave in

"I don't like them. They make your eyes look all liney." Morgana pinched his side "No, actually, sorry. They're fine. Carry on." he corrected himself

"they look lovely, Amy. They frame your face well" Morgana complimented causing Amy to preen

"Okay, I'm going to go and get us some more coffee. Who wants more coffee? Me too. I'll go!" Rory offered himself up, not wanting to be dragged into the dangerous waters.

"can we have ice cream Uncle R?" Mimi asked sweetly batting her eyes and he nodded, fondly ruffling her hair

"Course, love" he promised

"Rory, do I have noticeable lines on my eyes now?" Amy panicked

"Yes." The Doctor said and hissed when Morgana pinched him, again
