Christina's address led me to a huge house, thirty minutes of a walk from my house. I stood outside, gaping in awe at the mansion-like building towering over me. She lives here? Swallowing my jealousy, I walked through the driveway and quickly knocked on the door.

After a couple of seconds, the door is opened by a well dressed man in his early 50's.

"Ah, you must be... Kaylee?" The man, who I assume is Christina's father, welcomes me in with a huge grin. 'Chris has told us a lot about you.'

Chris? As I shook the kind man's hand, I looked around the large living area that I'm standing in.

"Erm, Christina told me to come here, I don't think she's-" Before I can finish my sentence, I hear a voice behind me.

"Hi Kaylee." It's Christina.

I quickly turn around to be greeted by a pale face with dark eyes.

"Ch- Christina?" I question, stepping closer to her.

She lets out a little cough, before turning around and walking through to the patio. Assuming that I should follow her, I jog to catch up to her, watching as she sits on the couch. Next to Sophia. Sophia's here?

"Sophia, hey!" I exclaim before going to hug her. As my arms wrap around her, I smell the faint perfume that she coated her body with. As she releases me from her embrace, I go and sit on the other side of Christina and slowly put my hand on the middle of her back.

"What happened?" It came out almost as a whisper, but by the way Christina lifts her head up to look at me, I know she heard it. After a few seconds of silence, Christina sighs, wrapping herself even more into her oversized hoodie.
"He... Ferris, he, he told me that he didn't like me in that way."

I hold my breath, stopping myself from saying the first things that come to my mind. Sophia's the next to talk.

"In what way?" She asks, rushing her words as she puts a strand of her dark curls behind her ear.

A small noise escapes Christina's lips as she covers her mouth with her barely visible hand. Instantly, my arms wrap around Christina as I bring her closer to me. I listen as she let's go and bursts into tears, her snot dripping onto my shoulder.

How could Ferris do this to her? He knew how much Christina liked him, and I thought that he liked her too. Was he just using her? He couldn't have right? Could he?

Slowly, Christina removes herself from my arm as she turns to face Sophia.
"In a relationship way." She answers Sophia's question, no emotion visible in her speech.

I have to lighten up the mood, I have to. Christina needs to forget about Ferris, he wasn't good for her.

"Hey," I say, moving behind Christina and Sophia and swinging my arm around the both of them, "Let's give you a makeover!"

I watch as Sophia's smile increases, and Christina lets out a little giggle before looking at me and nodding her head.

Christina's room is huge. I could fit three of my bedrooms in here. As I look around in awe, I take in how clean the room is, everything has a place and there is nothing scattered on the floor like in my room.

"I know it's... extra..." I hear Christina say from in front of me, her eyes staring at the floor.

"No, I really like it!" I say to put her mind at ease.

A huge poster bed stood in the corner of the room, encased with a black and white duvet. Sophia ran and plopped on the bed, her body bouncing underneath her huge dress. Christina let out a little chuckle before silently seating herself at her desk on the opposite side of the room, right next to her makeup bags and drawers.

My grin widened as I took a couple of steps towards her.

Let the makeover begin.
