A/N: I hope everyone enjoyed last chapter, as the climax of the story I hope me trying something different didn't ruin it to much. As I was reading through my earlier chapters I always made it clear that I wanted Amora to be intelligent, but I don't think that side of her really shows. So, I thought I'd give some incite into how I imagine Amoras thought process works when she's planning. I wanted this chapter to show what Amora was truly like before she started to care for Ginny. In my original character plan I wanted to have her be besties with Blaise but considering how I built her attraction towards Ginny so quickly I couldn't exactly show for example third year Amora, who I picture having gone to the ball with Blaise because he's a year older than her. I think she wouldn't describe herself that way but generally when she was younger she was a lot more naive than she pictures herself being. I think she has alot of childish innocence and immaturity in her she never got to act on because of the way she was raised. That's why, in my mind, she was so different when she was with Ginny compared to our prior knowledge of her. Anyway, I hope that makes sense. I just didn't want you guys to not really know why her character changes so abruptly. My goals for last chapter we're to build an affective climax that creates an easy transition into the falling actions of the story, and to show how much being back in the Nott family manor takes a toll on the two sides of her, the human and the slightly evil persona she forced herself into.

I truly do want to stay at least semi true to her original character design in building on her intelligence in later chapters and in my eventual rewrite. Generally I want her IQ to be somewhere in the knock off Light Yagami range (if nobody can tell I'm hyperfixating on death note right now leave me alone)- I'm definitely not as smart as Light (who I believe has a 201 IQ, which for reference the average intelligent adult would have a IQ of 140 so that's absolutely insane.) if I had to estimate Amoras IQ I'd say maybe 168-170...ish? But don't quote me on that if Amora does anything stupid in later chapters.

Eventually what happens to be the downfall of Amora Notts stone cold intelligence is, love. I made it that way because that's the theme of Harry Potter, yk, parallels and shit. But contrary to Lily Evans, Amoras downfall happens to be love because she was starved of it. She'd never felt it before and feeling it all head first all at once is what causes her to make impulsive, back and forth, and generally stupid decisions. Even if it wasn't love, for Amora to have her development she has to have a downfall. And if it wasn't Ginny it would actually be her ego that would crush her. Originally I never intended to make her characters ego reach the proportions that it has, but she thinks so highly of her intelligence that it became one of the primary reasons Amora does the things she does. I think I unintentionally created a knock off Light Yagami before I even read the manga but I'm going with it for now.

Now having said that, I did promise a morally grey character. So I promise I didn't make her all evil. I don't think the reasons why she is the way she is are her fault, in my mind she truly does want to help, she truly wants to be good and that itself will show in some of the last chapters especially. To me a characters motives are what makes for breaks how "good" they are. I think that's what makes Amora morally grey.

Anyway, I apologize for Ginny not being in the chapter. The entire next chapter will be centered around her (and her development) but I know I certainly get annoyed at other peoples oc's, I promise Ginny is still our main character.

ALSO, before I go, let me know if you want a authors note explaining Ginnys character, because I feel like I might have altered it in a bit of a way that I'd have to explain it for people to understand. I promise I somewhat thought all of this through. (Emphasis on the somewhat)

And as always, I'm always open to criticize, questions, and hate.
