Seoyeon's POV

"Are you sure you're fine from here?" Mr. Kim asked while his car is parked near my street. I nodded my head in agreement, because I don't want Eunhye to find out.

"I'll just walk from here, sir." I added and was about to get out of the car but he suddenly told me to stop.

I watched him unbuckle his seatbelt and went out of the car. He walked over the door and opened it for me. Common courtesy, I guess, but this is the first time he opened the door for me. I usually do, to be honest. A secretary gotta do her job.

"Thank you, sir." I smiled and bowed to him.

"Let me walk you home." He offered and then pressed the lock of his key.

"Ah, no need, sir." I immediately answered while shaking my head. "It's just few walks away, so I'm good. You should go home and rest." I reasoned out.

"Well, you said it's just a few walks away. It won't take me long, I just want to make sure." He uttered and right before I could answer, a call made me froze.

"Park Seoyeon!" Eunhye's voice seems like an echo from the way my heart raced its pace.

I slowly turned around and saw her approaching at me like a mad bull, fumes exiting her nose and ears. I don't know, maybe it's just me. I flaunted a small smile but the panic is eating me slowly. And now, she's in front of me.

"H-Hi, eonnie! Good morning." I chuckled frantically and she raised a brow at me.

"Really, Seoyeon?" She held her hips and stood there like a mad mother at her teenage daughter.

"Uh, excuse me." Mr. Kim suddenly called, making Eunhye to look at him without even minding how mad she looks right now. "I hope you won't get mad at Seoyeon. It wasn't her fault." He said, then adding, "It's my fault that she wasn't able to come home yesterday."

"Is that true, Seoyeon?" Eunhye asked as she gaze at me, and I nodded my head. "Then, you should've told me that you won't be able to come home. I was up all night, worried, while waiting for you and trying to contact you." She stated and I could see exhaustion on her face, dark circles under her eyes too.

"I'm really sorry, eonnie. I accidentally left my phone in silent mode. I promise, it won't happen again." I frowned and I was surprised when she pulled me into a hug.

"I was so worried, you brat." She sniffled all of a sudden, "I thought you were kidnapped by a gang and sold at the black market." She added, making me smile as I hug her back.

"I'm fine, don't worry now." I hummed and we pulled away, now with smiles.

"Seoyeon," And I almost forgot that Mr. Kim was still there not until he called me.

"Yes, sir?" I asked as I turn around to face him.

"Have your day-off. You need and surely deserve a rest, even just for today." He uttered, "Also, don't bother to open the incoming emails. I'll just ask someone to accommodate those. Am I understood?"

"Yes, sir." I beamed, "Thank you for allowing me have a day-off." I bowed in gratitude, but got astound when he bowed back.

"Thank you for taking care of me and my daughter. I appreciate you and your efforts." He smiled, "I'll get going. I still need to catch some work. Have a nice day, Seoyeon and Ms. Kang."

Me and Eunhye bowed as he walked towards his car. Afterwards starting the engine, he glanced at me and waved his hand once. I just smiled and then he started to drive away. When his car is out of sight, I felt a nudge on my waist.
