Namjoon's POV

(I love you more, my handsome devil.)

I felt myself smiling widely after receiving her sweet remarks, before she ended our call. Her voice was so euphonious, very sweet and warm, like music to your ears. I can listen to it without getting annoyed, just enjoying it as I get lulled. But I have observed that when we are at work, her voice is so calm yet monotonous. I noticed that she sounds like that when she is mad or upset, too.

I exhaled and averted my gaze upon the picture frame sitting beside the lamp, on the side table of my bed. Taking it from its spot, I let my finger touch the glass of it. I closed my eyes and tried to recall the events in this picture I hold. Vivid images of her smile, even the melodious laughter she had.

"I wish you're here...." I sighed and opened my eyes, "One day.... She will, one day." I said to myself and caressed the picture before putting it back.

I gave it another glance before finally standing up and leaving my room. I still have to speak with Taehyung and mend our relationship as brothers. I know what I've done upsets him, maybe even makes him despise me rather.

When I got in front of the guest room, where he is right now, I took a deep breath before knocking the door. There was no response at first, so I knocked again. But then I heard the knob being unlocked. The door opened and he was standing behind it.

"What?" He asked nonchalantly.

"I want to talk to you, Taehyung." I said, straightforward with my intentions.

"I'm busy." He answered and was about to close the door but I quickly blocked it with my hand. His eyes looked at me with annoyance, brows furrowed.

"Please, Taehyung. Let's talk." I repeated and looked at him with my pleading eyes.

He sighed and pursed his lips before saying, "Fine. I'll be downstairs in two minutes."

"Thank you. I'll wait in the living room." I smiled but he just closed the door in return.

I then went to the kitchen and took two canned sodas before settling myself on the sofa. He came down after and didn't bother to give me a glance. He sat on the other side of the sofa and cleared his throat.

"I got you your favourite soda." I initiated with a smile and handed him the can of soda, which he just looked at.

"No, thanks. I don't have much time for small talk, so be straightforward." He uttered as he glanced at his wrist watch.

"Ah, yes." I nodded and put back the soda on the table, "So, uhm.... I really want to apologize for what happened last night. It wasn't supposed to happen that way-"

"I was not supposed to know, was I?" He asked, I can see anger with the way his fists gripped on his pants.

"No. You deserve to know, Taehyung. It's not just the right time." I answered and heard him scoff.

"Tell me, how long have you been feeling that way about Seoyeon? I bet you were just waiting for me to leave, don't you? Maybe you were the one who persuaded mother to put me in Japan, so that you could woo Seoyeon."

"No, Taehyung. I had no idea what our parents had planned for you nor the Japan thing. I swear, Taehyung. I never thought that I would fall in love with her. I tried to stop it, but whenever I try to deny it, it just gets worse."

"Well, you should've tried harder." He retorted.

"I did. I just failed to do so." I sighed, "Look, I know I made a very terrible mistake in breaking our bro code and I just want you to know, I really am sorry. I don't want our relationship to grow apart, you're my brother. You're my family."
