The whole floor was booked. It was empty except for Collier, Ashley, and the waiter of course.
Ashley glared at Collier. It is never nice to be too greedy. Even if Collier did pay for the whole thing. It's still unfair towards the others.
"Collier," Ashley glared again.
Collier, who felt wronged, pouted like a child, "I didn't want others to disturb us."
Ashley's hands settled on her hip with a frown, "Oh what did you think we're going to do here alone? Come on. It's not fair to do this to others. They have the right to eat alongside us."
Collier tried her best to reason out with Ashley. She's a great negotiator. She's a Villers. Collier stood tall, unwavering, " I paid the restaurant. I booked the whole seat. It is fair." She then crossed her arms.
Ashley felt irritated. Just because she could, doesn't mean she should, "I'm leaving."
Ashley turned her heels prepared to leave when suddenly, a warm hand caught her arm, "Fine you win! Don't leave."
The corner of Ashley's lips curved upwards. She didn't think Collier would really be so serious about treating her to lunch.
Ashley turned her head and saw Collier's eyebrows forming a distraught triangle while biting her lip. It's quite cute seeing her so panicked.
Collier signaled the waiter and whispered to him something before leaving.
Collier looked at Ashley with an angry expression, "We'll still get the best table."
Ashley chuckled, "Sure sure. Whatever you want."
The waiter stood there alone, celebrating inside his heart after realizing the two beauties were an item. The waiter then led them to a private room, the Jade Room, the most exquisite room inside the restaurant.
"Here's the menu. Choose any that you want. I personally recommend rosemary steak," Collier said as she poured lemon water for Ashley.
"I'll have what she has and blueberry cheesecake," Ashley told the waiter.
The waiter nodded and told them to wait for a while before leaving.
"Aren't you so charming, after being a bitch," Ashley smiled innocently as if she hadn't swore.
"Look, I'm sorry alright? Besides, I need to talk to you about something," Collier crossed her leg.
Ashley tilted her head ready to listen. She lifted up the glass of water and took a sip.
"I need you to be my pretend girlfriend. Everyone will know about it." Collier rapped the words out of her mouth.
Ashley almost choked. She put down the glass of water and looked at Collier as if the person beside her was insane.
"I'm not joking. Look, my parents have been pestering me to find someone. Since technology is advanced already, they wanted me to give them a grandchild. I have no plans for now, so please," Collier said, giving Ashley her puppy eyes.
"Are you insane?" Ashley shouted.
"Insane for you, love," Collier winked, then flashed her most charming smile, "See? No one will notice it's fake. I'm great at flirting."
Ashley sighed. What's up with the Villers? So Brooklyn wasn't the only insane one.
"What's in it for me?" Ashley crossed her arms.
"Money? I'll give you 30 Million a year," Collier placed a black card on the table.
"I don't need more money, Collier," Ashley said firmly. Money, money, money. She is already making enough already.
"Then, I'll make you CEO of Highway Malls," Collier beamed, thinking that she'll be able to convince Ashley.
Ashley's face darkened, "No. Please. I will achieve it on my own."
Collier looked straight at Ashley eye-to-eye, "I'll do anything you want. Please!"
For some reason seeing how desperate Collier was, made Ashley laugh. She never really minded if she were to act like Collier's girlfriend. It would even save her but. She'd get revenge on Brooklyn. What's worse than not only making Brooklyn regret that she had abandoned her when she suddenly became one of the successful bachelorettes? Being your sister's girlfriend that is!
Ashley frowned remembering a soft spine-chilling touch. She could help me.
"Fine. I'll do it, but promise me something," Ashley said, her face turning dark.
"Anything! Anything!" Collier cheered then when she saw how bad Ashley's face was, her heart ached, "You alright? If it's such a bad idea then, I won't force you."
Ashley shook her head, "No. It's alright. I want to get back at Brooklyn and someone, I need you to fire someone, please," Ashley placed her hand on Collier's.
"You want a hug?" Collier asked instead, sensing that Ashley might be in a bad mood.
Ashley only managed to nod slightly. Those memories swirling inside her mind made her want to vomit.
Collier didn't say anything and wrapped her arms around Ashley, patting Ashley's back lightly, "It's going to be alright. I'll solve everything for you. I promise."
They hugged each other for what seemed like forever until Ashley's stomach growled. They pulled apart.
"Thank you," Ashley said. She was really grateful to Collier. She's nice when she wants to be.
"Anytime. I'm your girlfriend now aren't I?" Collier smirked.
Ashley raised her eyebrows, "Isn't the food taking too long?"
Right then and there the waiter smiled and pushed the trolly inside. I have been waiting for twenty minutes. I wouldn't want to ruin your moment. As if I could say that. The waiter just smiled at them.
"Here are your orders, apologies for the delay. There are many customers today."
He placed their orders on the table before leaving them alone again.
"This is why we should have booked the whole floor," Collier glanced at Ashley, still trying to convince Ashley she was right.
"It's just a few minutes. Don't be impatient, or I'll leave you," Ashley threatened as she cut her steak elegantly.
Collier smiled, "Looks like you're getting the hang of it. It's not hard to pretend to be my lover right, love?"
"So how long will this be?"
Collier replied before finally eating a piece of steak, "A year at most."
"Alright. That's fine," Ashley said, continuing to eat her lunch.
