chapter 19 - Best Days

Ashley was rather tired.

Yesterday, the whole team played various games on the beach. They rode banana boats. Collier fell off into the water more than thrice. Ashley made sure to laugh her ass out, which surprised the whole team about how both the senior manager and the CEO were funny. The team's perception of the two deeply changed, and they began to open up to them more.

Although all was great and just when Ashley thought she'd get to meet new people, it was suddenly announced that Collier had rented the entire beach near them for a couple of days.

Collier received a fierce scolding from Ashley. Collier made sure to reflect on her actions that day.

"Ashley, I promise I won't do it ever again," Collier pleaded with Ashley to stop ignoring her.

Ashley's lips curved upwards a bit. Her heart beat faster a bit. Something opened a new for Ashley, she found it fun to tease Collier. It seemed like the tables had turned after Collier wanted to pursue her.

"Why are you so cute? Who's the kitten now?" Ashley winked.

Collier's face flushed. She pouted, "Ashley Kay, that's not fair. You're taking advantage of my feelings."

"Not my fault, you're the one having feelings."

Collier could only stare at Ashley angrily. She crossed her arms. No one had ever treated her like this. She teases others, not the other way!

Seeing how Collier was angry at her, Ashley felt that Collier was becoming more and more adorable each day.

Ashley slowly and steadily walked towards Collier and wrapped her arms around Collier's waist.

Collier's ears became red. Her brain couldn't process how Ashley had just given her a back hug. She could feel those soft breasts against her back. Collier stood still as a statue, and her face felt hot.

Ashley felt that something was wrong. Why didn't Collier throw a tantrum or tease her back? She let go of Collier and tried to look at the other person's face.

There Ashley saw blood slowly flowing past Collier's lips. It seems like Collier hadn't noticed it herself. Ashley began to panic a little. She quickly grabbed a piece of tissue paper and rolled it before helping Collier.

"Can you stop staring? Your nose is bleeding," Ashley said in a distressed tone as she tiptoed closer towards Collier.

"Huh?" Collier's face reddened again when her eyes wandered towards Ashley's soft pink lips.

Ashley chuckled, "What are you staring at me for? Am I so pretty that you can't keep your eyes off me?"

Collier felt her face heating up more, but decided to stabilise her heart, "Yes, how'd you know my adorable kitten?" Collier smirked at Ashley.

Ashley mentally rolled her eyes. Says the one who's so shy being teased.

After Ashley had helped Collier with her nosebleed, she went towards her bed and began to pack her things.

The trip was fun but now Ashley's back to reality. She has pilled documents needed for approval and checking. Ashley sighed. At least the company was nice enough to give them a day off to settle themselves.

It's not like Ahsley hated working, but it's because she wanted to spend more time with someone. Her eyes travelled to Collier, who was also waiting for their ride to arrive. It made Ashley wonder when and how she fell in love with Collier.

"What are you staring at me for?" Collier smirked.

Ashley blushed, "Oh, nothing. Do you want to have dinner at my house?"
