chapter 18 - Yes

Collier bit her lip. She's not interested in you. Her type is Brooklyn.

"You can pursue me."

Collier looked up, tears forming in her eyes. Did she hear it wrong? She must be dreaming then. Even though Ashely didn't say yes, Ashley had accepted her proposal. It made Collier's lips curve upwards.

Collier couldn't help but wrap her arms around Ashley and embrace the person in her arms.

"Well then my darling, I'll do everything to get that yes from your mouth," Collier winked.

Ashley blushed. Although she wasn't that sure of her love for Collier, she fully knew that her heart would beat fast whenever she's around Collier, and not only that, she felt safe and warm whenever she's near Collier.

Ashley sat beside Collier during dinner. To her surprise, Collier was very affectionate towards her. She was served a few times by Collier.

"Here this tastes good," Collier smiled with her chopsticks, grabbing the piece of meat.

Ashley blushed. She felt shy.

"No need. I can feed myself," Ashley rejected.

"Come on, open your mouth," Collier smiled.

Looking at Collier's excited expression, Ashley opened her mouth, ready to be fed despite the gazes she has been getting from her colleagues.

Ashley felt her heart skip a beat. This is how she wanted to be treated all her life, yet her previous relationship wasn't able to provide her with the love that she wanted and needed. It made her think of wanting to answer Collier right away, but somehow, she wasn't ready yet. She was afraid that this relationship may turn cold after she gives her sweet yes to Collier.

Ashley felt unable to breathe. The food began to taste bitter.

Ashley smiled at Collier, "I'll take a breather," then turned to her fellow employees, "These dishes were delicious. Thank you. I'll take a walk then."

She waved her hand, " Enjoy this night."

Ashley got up and left after waving goodbye towards Collier.

Collier sat there with a cold face. She then stood up and began to follow Ashley. Did I make her mad?

"Ash? Did I make you mad? I'm sorry. I won't push y-"

Before Collier was able to finish her sentence, Ashley stopped walking and turned towards her to face her.

"I just needed a breather. I never said that you couldn't accompany me."

After hearing those words Collier's eyes shone brightly like a child. She has never felt like this before. Collier smiled; however, her heart ached as well. It made her feel guilty towards the little sister she loved so much. How could I fall in love with my sister's ex-girlfriend?

Collier clenched her fist. Her mood slowly became bad.

Ashley saw Collier's current state and felt worried.

"Are you okay?" Ashley worriedly asked.

The night was cool. The cold wind blew past Ashley's hair. Her slender fingers elegantly tucked strands of her hair behind her ear.

Collier stood still. Heart struck by Ashley's beauty. For some reason, with the moonlight shining perfectly tonight, Ashley's beautiful figure illuminated. Her curved waists and plump thighs made Collier's ear blush.

"What are you looking at?" Ashley raised her eyebrows after she caught Collier exploring her figure.

Collier played with the tips of her hair feeling embarrassed.

"You're so moody," Ashley continued.

"I'm sorry. It's just that I feel a bit guilty courting the ex-girlfriend of my sister," Collier confessed.

Ashley smiled.

Although Collier and Brooklyn are siblings, they have different personalities. Remembering how secretive Brooklyn was, did make her feel insecure about their relationship. However, if it's with Collier, it might be different.

Ashley always had been insecure. Her parents hadn't done a good job raising her, and with Brooklyn being so secretive and even daring to cheat on her, her self-confidence really fell down. Luckily, she was promoted after her hard work.

Ever since then Ashley had never thought she would give herself a chance to fall in love again, but when the sexy seductive and annoying Collier walked into her life, Ashley wasn't so sure if her current plans will still be the same as before.

"Collier, don't be guilty please."

Ashley grabbed Collier's hand and they walked towards the beach.

"I know you treat her as an important sister, but Collier, did you know that before meeting you I was a wreck. Your sister broke me. She made me hate falling in love and made me not believe in love anymore," Ashley deeply said.

"But after meeting you, you made my life better. You were childish and fun," Ashley stopped walking and turned to look Collier in the eyes, "When you appeared, you made me believe in love again. I would have agreed to be your girlfriend, but your sister broke my trust in her too much. Now I'm afraid to trust again, but with you I'm willing to try, so please just wait for me."

Ashley leaned forward, catching Collier off guard.

Ashley leaned forward again until Collier's and her forehead were touching, "Please don't fall in love with someone else."

Hearing those words, Collier's heart skipped a beat.

"When it comes to our relationship, Brooklyn doesn't concern us, Collier. So please don't feel guilty."

Ashley swallowed her saliva. She wasn't sure whether she was ready but saw Collier feeling guilty for Brooklyn. She was afraid that Collier might not pursue her anymore. Sometimes blood is thicker than water.

"I love you so please don't give up."

Collier's eyes widened, "What did you-"

Ashley stepped back, and with a cheeky smile, she said, "I'll only say it once. If you want to hear it, do your best to pursue me."

Collier was wonderstruck staring at Ashley's eyes. She felt laughter escaping from her lips. Ashley Kay, you're really something else.

Collier's eyes followed Ashley. There she saw the person she's fascinated with shivering.

Collier took off her coat and wrapped it around Ashley, "You're cold. Let's go back and rest. Tomorrow's going to be a tiring day."

Ashley nodded.

They went back to their hotel room peacefully.

Just when Collier wanted to sneak closer towards Ashley that night, she got a fierce glare from the lovable girl. Collier sighed. Why is my kitty so fierce?
