Ashley frowned. She was just informed that there would be a banquet that she needs to attend with Collier. It's not as if she didn't want to attend, but more that she wasn't given a heads up.

Ashley crossed her arms with a frown on her face, "Why didn't you tell me so?"

Collier wrapped her arms around Ashley's waist, "My mother just told me this morning, she already prepared our dresses in advance. It's a business banquet, I'm sure you'll meet lots of business tycoons. Plus, that way I can introduce you as my partner." Collier smiled, trying to coax her lover.

Ashley shook her head and sighed. How could she say angry at Collier, when she acted so adorable? There's no way she could stay angry no matter how hard she tries.

"Give me a kiss then."

Ashley felt Collier's lips on hers. It made her heart tingle once more. She unknowingly blurted, "I love you."

"I love you too," Collier mumbled loud enough for Ashley to hear.

Ashley glanced at her watch, "Sorry, babe, I need to leave, I still have a meeting."

Ashley felt her heart drumming against her ears when she saw how Collier was puffing her cheeks. It made her a little possessive and wanted to keep Collier for herself.

"We're gonna see each other again, aren't we?" Ashley said softly as she played with Collier's arms.

"Fine," Collier nodded, "Well, I better visit Brooklyn again."

They kissed each other goodbye before walking their own way.

The banquet was lively, many families with backgrounds were there, but no one could beat the Villers Family. Everyone was anticipating the entrance of the Villers family, ready to push their daughters and sons to the eldest daughter of the Villers. It was common knowledge that the eldest and most capable daughter of the Villers, Collier Villers, was at a marriageable age. And, if one of their daughters or sons were able to capture Collier's heart, then their family would benefit from it.

"Stand straight! Don't you want Collier to take fancy to you?" The wife of the Gills family angrily told her daughter.

"Mom! Stop! You're embarrassing me. It's not as if she likes me!" The daughter complained.

The mother huffed, "She is still single so there's a chance!"

Every conversation was like this. The daughters and sons were so fed up with their parents. It's not like Collier Villers was so good-looking, right? Everyone was beyond excited. This is the first time Collier Villers will attend a banquet with so many people.

Just then, a beautiful silver haired lady walked in, and beside her was a graceful brunette. Their style was different; nonetheless, both were beautiful.

There were many whispers. Many were curious who these ladies were. The daughters and sons of the families

were too stund to speak. How could they tell their parents that they would rather get married to one of these two ladies than the wealthy Collier Villers?

Ashley tugged Collier's arm, "Why are they looking at us?"

It feels somewhat different from the gazes she receives in her office.

Collier smiled, "It's because of how beautiful you are."

Ashley rolled her eyes. She always tries to flirt with me all the time.

"It's true!" Collier pouted.

Ashley felt a chuckle escape from her lips, "Fine. Fine. You're right."

Before Collier was able to answer again, someone interjected. The handsome young had a faux hawk hairstyle with wavy locks on each side. He looked confident with his heavy stubble beard in his expensive suit. Holding a glass of wine, he made his way towards Ashley and Collier.

"Ladies, I'm Zahv Dheir. The second son of the Dheir Family." He said confidently, "You both look stunning, why don't we talk over there," he pointed towards his parked car.

(pronunciation Zav Heir)

Ashley looked at Collier with a confused face. What is he implying?

Collier placed her arm around Ashley's waist, giving the so-called arrogant Zahv Dheir a hint.

Zahv Dheir smirked, " A threesome isn't that bad."

Ashley frowned. How arrogant was this guy? She looked at Collier and saw that Collier's jaws were tense. Things are about to end bad for this guy.

Collier glanced at the Dheir family. Despite what the second son had said, the head and the first son of the family didn't bother to interject. It was widely known that the Dheir family hated having daughters. Luckily, the wife became pregnant with two sons instead of daughters or they would have been killed off. Collier's heart ached for the mother.

Not many knew of the Dheir family's tradition, but since she's a Villers, she has information about many things.

Collier stretched out her hand, "Shouldn't you know who you are talking to first?" Her eyes were dark. The fact that this guy wanted to have sex with Ashley made her blood boil.

"Where are my manners? Well then, go on. Introduce yourselves," He rudely gestured with his hand as if impatient.

Ashley could hear the whispers of those around them.

Many wanted to interject but having a conflict while in a business banquet would just tire them. It's not worth it to anger the Dheir family for nobody. Well, not all thought of this.

One lady walked towards Zahv, "It's very rude of you Zahv Dheir. This is a business banquet."

Zahv rolled his eyes, "If it isn't almighty Miss Garder. You can't control me."

"Manners please, Mr. Dheir. Just because we're in the same rank that doesn't mean I can't lecture you, especially with your arrogant attitude."

She turned to Collier and Ashley, "I'm Raven Garder of the Garder family. Apologies for this fool's attitude. He's from the Dheir family."

Raven tried to smile as she offered her hand to Collier and Ashley, "Don't blame the others for not helping, not many families can stand up against the Dheir family. It's mostly the Villers and the Garders family only. It's kinda complicated with the ranking and all, anyway I'm sorry." She apologizes sincerely.

"Raven! You fucking Garders, always trying to piss off the Dheir family! Piss off, I'm talking to the ladies," Zahv fumed.

Raven's friendly smile disappeared, she glared coldy at Zahv, "If your family wasn't so patriarchal and misogynistic then maybe we won't always be at each other's throat then!"

While the two were arguing none of the other families dared to complain or even interject, after all, they were one rank or few ranks below the Garder and Dheir family.

Ashley was feeling tired and wanted to sit down, but seeing that the two influential people were still arguing, Ashley decided to stay quiet.

It wasn't until Collier noticed that Ashley's grip on her hand became tighter and tighter then she asked, "You tired?"

Ashley nodded.

Raven noticed Collier and Ashley's conversation and felt bad so she decided to ignore the fool.

"I'm really sorry! I didn't notice." Raven bowed her head.

Zahv rolled his eyes, "Aren't you high and mighty? Such a goody two shoes bowing at a nobody."

Razen ignored him, she didn't want to delay the two strangers' rest, "You may go now. Leave him to me. But before that, may I know your name?"
