chapter 24 - Collier Villers

"Hello, Miss Raven Garder, I'm Ashley Kay. Nice to meet you," Ashley introduced herself properly.

Raven nodded, "Such a nice name. How about your friend?"

Collier stood tall, her voice was cool and full of authority that many stopped what they were doing, "She's my girlfriend."

Raven blushed, "Sorry for the misunderstanding."

Collier smiled, "No worries, Miss Grader."

"Um-your name please?" Raven asked again, noticing that the other person didn't answer her question.

Ashley nudged her.

"Sorry. I'm Collier Villers, nice to meet you."

After hearing that line, many stood still, especially the Zahv and the Dheir. His face turned pale.

"Co-Collier Villers?" Zahv swallowed. He fucked up big time.

"Yes?" Collier turned to him with glaring eyes.

"I better go," Zahv excused himself quickly and ran towards his family.

Everyone knew that the Villers have existed since the 14th or the 15th century. Basically, the oldest of the old money. In terms of ranking, influence, and money, they stood at the top.

Raven's brain malfunctioned. Did she just defend Collier Villers? What was she thinking!

"Thank you for earlier. Don't worry, I understand the ranking," Collier said coolly.

After Raven processed what had happened, she joked, "Looks like you've already broken lots of ladies' and lads' hearts, huh?"

Ashley and Collier looked behind Raven and noticed that it seemed like a lot of people were whispering to each other.

Ashley rolled her eyes, "Seems like you're popular huh? Aren't you such a heartbreaker?"

Panic rose from Collier's heart. Her eyes softened and her voice became soft, "I love you, you're the only one for me. I promise."

Seeing the serious face of Collier, Ashley couldn't help but laugh, "I'm sorry for teasing you. You're just so adorable."

Ashley then hugged Collier's arm tighter, with her breast pressing on Collier's toned arms.

Collier blushed. Her lips couldn't help but form a curve upwards.

Raven, who was ignored, saw the whole scene. She was dumbstruck — everyone around them was. Who knew this was the cold heartless heir of the Villers Family? She looked like an adorable puppy around her girlfriend.

Ashley turned Collier with her eyes big. She's hungry.

Collier chuckled.

Collier turned to Raven and said, "Thank you again so much," she handed her business card, "Here. Let me know if you're free. I'll treat you to lunch as a thank you."

Ashley and Collier walked hand-in-hand toward the food section without pausing to talk with anyone.

The head of the Dheir family looked at his son with so much disappointment.

Everyone knew that the Garders were the ones who benefited a lot from this banquet. It is well-known that the Villers rarely give away their contact information, and even the families' ancestors did, with the family heads constantly changing throughout the centuries.

Ashley grabbed a plate of chocolate shortcakes and ate a mouthful happily, forgetting about her cold image.

"Your image is shattering," Collier chuckled.

Ashley smiled, "Well, I wasn't always like that. This is more of my true self."

"Then, you became cold cause?" Collier asked back.

Ashley turned towards Collier. She breathed deeply before answering, "Your sister broke my heart, and then I decided to never fall in love again."

Collier pinched Ashley's cheeks, "I suppose I should apologize for destroying your plans."

Ashley smiled widely, "As your punishment, you should only be married to me!"

Collier raised her eyebrows, "Someone's excited to get married."

Just as Collier and Ashley were chatting or rather flirting happily, a group of ladies walked towards them.

The shy ladies tried to be as calm as possible and said, "Hello, I'm Sheryl Riversson and daughter of the Riversson."

"Valka Quartz, daughter of the Quartz Family, pleasure to meet you."

"And, I'm Alby Fhard, third daughter of the Fhard Family."

They smiled at both Collier and Ashley, trying to not look nervous.

Collier was about to complain. Can't they see Ashley and I are having a moment?!"

But, Ashley smiled, "Hello. I'm Ashley Kay and this is my girlfriend Collier Villers."

Just at the words Collier Villers, the ladies swallowed their saliva. They could see Collier glaring at them.

Upon seeing the constipated faces of the ladies, Ashley felt worried. She looked at Collier and saw how her lover was giving the three ladies death glares.

Ashley elbowed Collier and said, "Be nice."

Collier sighed and tried to push down her angry heart. She'd do anything for Ashley. Anything. There's really nothing she could do when her baby was telling her to be nice.

An idea popped on Collier's brain. She slid an arm around Ashley's waist and said, "I apologize for cutting our conversation short, but we need to leave. I'll see you guys next time?"

The three daughters from the different families nodded quickly. Looks like they left a good impression on the heir of the Villers family. They left happily to inform their parents.

Collier guided Ashley towards the car quickly.

Ashley was confused as to why Collier was in a hurry to go home, but before she was able to ask, Collier leaned on Ashley's shoulder, "I love you."

Ashley smiled, "I love you too. Care to explain why we left so early?"

Collier hummed, "I'm just so sleepy."

After saying that her eyes gradually closed. It was so comfortable to sleep on Ashley's shoulder that Collier fell asleep this instant.
