Everyone had shown courage, though they knew that Aro’s army was moving against them… and soon they would face the dark gifts of Jane and worse the paralyzing vapor of her brother Alec, who could rob you of sight, sound, and touch… And Addison had the unpleasant pleasure of experiencing it first hand....

“Aro will want us incapacitated before he attacks. Jane and Alec will try and take me out first because I can anticipate their moves, and then they’ll go after Addison because she can teleport all of us out of there”. Edward Cullen’s voice was low and serious as he spoke to the small group spread out around the living room. 

“Too bad we don’t all have your shield” Garrett scoffed gesturing to Bella who shook her head with a small smile, “doesn’t help me fight though”...

“No… but you could help us the rest of us if you could project it”.

“What do you mean?” Bella asked, making Tanya chuckle lightly like the answer was clearly obvious, “I mean shield someone other than yourself”, “is that even possible?”

Addison nodded her head with a small hum as she leaned over the bar, her chin coming to rest in the palm of her hand, “of course, gifts can be developed over time, like I used to only be able to teleport to a different spot in a room but now I can teleport to other rooms, or other places in the world, and I can even take people with me without them ending up in tiny little pieces”.

“At first mine was just in my palms, now I can radiate it all over my body”, Kate added.

“How did you two do it? Tell me” Bella practically demanded, reaching out and grabbing Kate’s and Addison’s hands, squeezing a little bit too hard making them wince, “ow”... “ouch ease up Bells, we’ll help you, just please let go”...
