"I think you should tell me about this apartment in more detail." You lifted the tiny saki cup to your lips, sipping it. You glared at Jimin over the edge of the porcelain and he laughed, the sound was rich and it made you smile.
"It's an apartment, what can I say about it?" He placed a piece of sushi in his mouth, it was almost as if he was purposefully avoiding the conversation.
You were in a very private corner booth of an exclusive Japanese fusion restaurant in downtown Seoul. When you glanced around you saw other celebrities you recognized from tv and the music industry. The decor was simple and the food so far had been delicious. You assumed no one here was going to expose the two of you.
"I'm not sure it was really fair to bring it up when I couldn't exactly form any opinions on the subject." You grabbed the piece of sushi from his plate he was reaching for with his chopsticks and popped it in your mouth defiantly.
"It's a one bedroom with a bonus office space, nice kitchen and eating area. The view isn't that great but it's roomy enough for entertaining if you're into that." Jimin dabbed his thumb against the side of your mouth smiling. He must have swept away a bit of saki or soy sauce, he licked it off his thumb.
"Is it really a good idea to move into your building? I don't even know what this is yet." You motioned between your bodies and Jimin scooted closer until he had rounded the booth to your side.
"You're my girlfriend Angel, isn't that obvious?" He whispered in your ear then kissed behind it. "Who else would I let steal my food?" The admission made you feel warm all the way to your toes. He picked up another piece of his sushi and fed it to you.
"Just like that?" You managed after you swallowed.
"Just like that." He brushed his lips to yours and then refilled your cup.
"Can I really afford it? Your building looks expensive." You'd gotten back to eating and so had he, focused on the food, the few moments of silence comfortable. You were Park Jimin's girlfriend, that thought settled into your head, it felt right.
"You work for one of the most prestigious consultant firms in Seoul, if you're not being paid well enough to live in my building you should tell your uncle you quit."
"I do well enough, but I'm not in BTS."
"Pretty sure you're going to have a lot of BTS," he raised a brow, "in you." You blushed furiously and he laughed.
"Can I ask you a serious question I really shouldn't ask you?" You swallowed hard trying to ignore his implication about your future activities.
"You can ask me anything at any time. You just have to be prepared to not like the answer if you don't like the question, Y/N." He set his chopsticks down and squeezed your hand.
"Will you get married some day? I'm not implying it's me," you quickly clarified, "but you do want that with someone right?" Jimin's face changed and you suddenly couldn't read it. You hated that you'd let your mother's comment about getting engaged to Jimin creep into your head.
"I was almost married, and I liked the idea of it at the time. I think some day I could feel that way again." If he meant that why was there pain in his eyes.
"Is she the one that died? We can change the subject, I shouldn't have brought it up."
"I don't need to hide things from you. Jjille was everything to me, we would have been married. When she died in a car accident I thought it would end me. Somehow it didn't and suddenly I feel guilty about that. If I loved her that much how could I feel things again?" His tone was soft, there was grief in his words, but not acute, like it had weighed on him a long time.
