"No you didn't"

"Yes I did."

"Why?" I laughed as I approached Jade

"Because I'm your older and only sibling. I had to come see you at work" Jade opened her arms and pulled me into one of those older sister hugs when she squeezes the life out of you just because she wants to hear you groan in pain. She always was a little asshole

"Okay I can't breathe" I gasped for air then poked her in the rib. Making her let me go

"Your lucky i didn't get here earlier. I would've embarrassed the hell out of you" She laughed as she playfully punched me

"Where's the little genie and Val?" I looked around for Jades daughters Hailee and Valentina

"You know she's waiting somewhere to pop up on you.. That's what happens when you insist on calling her Genie and Valentina is visiting a friend. She'll be at your house around 9" Jade folded her arms and shook her head

"Sounds good also don't be a party pooper just because I came up with a better nickname" I waved my hand at her "Oh little genie" I walked around calling out for Hailee

"Your forgetting something" Jade waved both her hands at me

"Crap.. right" I immediately remembered then clapped my hands together three times

"Hello" Hailee jumped out from behind the counter, almost scaring me "Bibi" She giggled then ran to hug my leg

"Your nicknames for each other" Jade palmed her head then went to sit down

"How's my favorite family member?"

"Great.. I got you a present" Hailee took out a little box and handed it to me

"Can I open it later?" I asked

"Yup" She gave me a thumbs up then started wondering around

"Ah.. let her be" Jade came over and grabbed my arm when I was about to call her name "She's a adventurer. Is that what you call it? Whatever. You know what I mean, you'll only put her in a pissy mood"

"How did I forget about that?" I laughed while Hailee still walked around the studio observing everything

"How have you been?" Jade nudged me "Mom told me Leigh lost her husband and there's been a lot of tension between you two. I almost didn't believe it when she told me"

"I've been pretty good. It's been tuff the past six months" I chuckled while swinging my hands "As far as me and Leigh we're actually really good. Last month Leigh and I agreed that I would give her space but we will still hang out a few days every week and text"

"I get it" Jade nodded "Her life was turned upside down. Nothing will completely be the same ever again"

"That's exactly it" I shrugged and desperately tried to find something else to talk about "Do you think Hailee would wanna meet another kid? She's a cool and nice kid"

"Yeah sure why not. Don't take to long because I wanna get to your house and sleep"

"You know where your sleeping right? Nah I'll show you" I waved my hand and ran away before she could object "Ayo genie"

"Yes bibi" She clasped her hands together and turned to me with a smile

"Your to cute" I laughed then snapped myself back to reality "Do you wanna meet one of my friends? She's the same age as you"
