"Do you know where you're going?"

"No the hell I don't my prestiges copilot"

"Okay chill" Leigh yelled, stepping in front of me, taking my map and pulling me back behind Jade and the kids after letting her take over map duty

"You can let go on my hand now" I said to her, regaining some composure. Being the map holder is hard, especially in this place, or maybe I just suck at it.

"No I don't think I will let go off your hand" Leigh grinned than began swinging my hand back and forth. She so wanted to start skipping to tigger me "I really wanted to start skipping just to piss you off but I'll save the embarrassment for another time"

"Leigh"

"No" She pointed at me, moving her hand so it fit better instead of the uncomfortable grasp "I'm not gonna make things awkward and you shouldn't either"

"B...

"Nope" She shook her head. That mischievous look on her face. She's had the same look since we were kids, it meant she was having fun, which meant I was gonna be teased, poked at and annoyed. or some other form of her playing around. Just her in a kiddy mood basically

"Are you gonna be like this the whole time?" I asked while she still swung my hand

"Why?" She looked at me with a grin "Is it bothering you?"

I looked forward, avoiding her eyes "You already know the answer"

This is another one of the i've known Leigh for twenty years thing, that's why she knows the answer. I'm not annoyed or anything, I don't know how to think of it. Maybe I am slightly annoyed but it's more of older sibling to their younger sibling thing. How I am with Jade, I annoy her but she still loves me on some level

"Were you really lost?" She asked

I rolled my eyes and began laughing "Big time"

Leigh laughed with me after staring for just a moment "How? Is the map not simple?"

"It might be. I'm just in a over complicating mood today"

"Don't I know it" She said quietly. Wasn't sure if it was supposed to be hidden or not "Well it's a good thing you have me as a friend"

"That I do" I nodded "That I do"

"Do you think I was kidding?" She turned to me, listening to me reaffirming myself

"No I don't think you were kidding" I chuckled, looking down at her still holding onto my hand "Can you just... There" I pulled my hand free then interlocked our fingers "Good?"

"Great" She chuckled, going back to swinging my hand just to bother me

"You guys are so weird" Hailee giggled after she glanced back

"Quit being so grown up. It was part of your plan to come here and two. It's all her" I laughed while pointing at Leigh with my free hand. That sentence Hailee just said proves how grown up she's getting. She's still a kid in a lot of ways, i have no doubt she'll just snap into being a teen one day

"So?" Leigh squeezed my hand, turning my attention to her

"What?" I asked with confusion

"Where do you wanna go? Do you wanna split up?" She asked

"Why would I wanna do that?" I replied "I didn't even know where I was going with the map"

"That's why I'm your backup. I do the things you can't do, it's what makes us a good team"
