"Hey"

"Hm?"

"Ready?"

"Dumb question"

"Someones is in a mood"

"Leigh..."

"Sorry, I thought it would get a laugh out of you" Leigh laughed a little, it turning into a nervous chuckle in seconds "Still..

"Yup" I replied

I have been laying in this bed all night with memories constantly showing up in my head. Ones I forgot or.. rewrote I guess is the word

For example every bad moment I had with Leigh was basically washed away and replaced with something else

Yesterday I thought we never admitted our feelings, never had sex, never argued like we have, anything bad wiped away. My mind provided me with the ideal life when I guess I needed it most

I was so caught up in overthinking and hurting it burned me out

I cracked and didn't have the strength to fight back

"Y/n.."

"Hm" I hummed

"Get out of your head" Leigh said sternly "I know it's probably not the right thing to say but..

"It's good Leigh" I squeezed her hand so she knew I was at least a little fine "Shit"

"Remember something big this time?" She asked

"Mhm" I nodded "Remember we had that huge argument in high school.. The only one"

"The one when you were being a total jackass about going to the military, of course I remember Y/n" She laughed, and with me laying on her chest I could hear her heart start to speed up "It was one of those time that proved you cared, and not just a little"

"It showed the very same thing with you to Leigh. You stuck by and convinced me to stay, and not just because you wanted me to stay, but because you made me think about everyone, my sister, my mom, her daughter that was born not long after and so much more" I chuckled then let out a sigh "There is a reason why I fell apart like I did when our friendship was technically over"

"I know and I did to" She sighed as she rubbed my back "I won't be able to say I'm sorry enough times because I can't fix it.. I will try my best to fix it though" She patted my back then moved a little "I have an idea.. How about I tell you a story to distract you? I can't promise the story will always be happy but...

"It'll get me out of my own head"

"Precisely" She laughed as she moved around even more "Move up here so you can hear better"

"Ugh fine" I whined, moving my head from her chest to her shoulder

"Hey guys" A knock came at the room door "It's Jade"

"Come in" I yelled and she opened the door "My gosh Jade. Have you been asleep?"

"Is it that obvious?" She laughed as she walked over to the bed

"Very obvious Jade..

"Don't ask why because you know why" She pointed "I was worried about you Y/n"

"I'll be fine.. A day away from everything will do me good"

"That's what started this" Jade replied

"But I felt alone then Jade.. I don't feel alone anymore, I got you two badass yet caring women and I'm sorry I thought you guys didn't care"

"You better be, you should've known that you can call big sis for anything.. The only thing I apparently can't give you is relationship advice so I'm outta here, I have work. My kids are in one of your rooms goofing off so they will be fine until they get hungry" She laughed as she leaned over and kissed my forehead "Take care of them will ya Leigh"
