"We're talking about the same thing right?" Jade asked, just as much shocked as I was "This isn't a joke either, right?"

"Same thing and not a joke" I shook my head, wiping away the few tears on my face

"Oh Y/n" Jade dropped whatever she had and hurried sitting on the step beside me and pulling me into a hug "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry...

"It just doesn't make any sense Jade" I crashed into her chest, allowing myself to feel it, the feeling of being denied something that big.. It felt like she was basically telling me to fuck off and that she's only gonna be with me for a short time, marriage means forever and apparently she doesn't want that

"It doesn't make any sense" She agreed, beginning to rub my back "Just let it out we'll decide what to do"

"Decide what Jade?" I leaned back away from her, wiping my tears

"I don't know" Jade shook her head "I'm a little confused. No, a lot confused, how could she say no? There has to be a reason"

"What like her just simply not wanting to marry me or there's someone else, or she doesn't like me anymore, or..

"How long have you been out here?" Jade asked

"Twenty, maybe thirty minutes" I shrugged, wrapping my arms around my legs and putting my knees to my chest

"Alone?" She asked again

"Of course" I nodded staring ahead

Jade pushed me, almost knocking me over "Don't you start that forcing it down shit"

"What else do you want me to do Jade?" I yelled, the tears starting to flow again "You want me to sit out here all day, crying because the love of my life said no to marrying me.. Ya know I just might do that, maybe everyone will leave me the hell alone"

"No Jade" I shook my head "My heart is broken, simple as that.. I should've left her alone all those years ago, she ran off to be alone and I hunted her down until I found her, maybe she would've moved on and found someone else during the blip"

"And what about your dreams? The reason why you proposed" Jade question, her tone lower then usual

"They were just dreams, I shouldn't have paid attention to them since they were. You should know not everyone's dreams come true, no matter how big.... or small. Although maybe the one dream with me being alone for the rest of my life is true"

"Partner or not Y/n, you still have me and the girls. Valentina and Hailee won't leave you alone, but they will bug you to the point you wish they would" Jade laughed a little as she tapped my shoulder

"I get it Jade, but how am I supposed to put myself back together after this?"

Today

"Good morning" I opened my eyes seeing Y/n sitting on the edge of the bed

"Hi" They replied, standing up seconds later and walking to the bedroom door

"I can make breakfast" I said before they got out

"That's fine" They shrugged without turning to me "I'm not hungry"
