"Leigh.." I said when I finally noticed she was yelling for me

"Clarify this for me.. A road trip, a very long road trip then a night out on some random town then a box, a gift from.. my mom, it was a um.. a funny but cute looking lamp that was painted on, it had a large rainbow painted on it.. Then the day after, a long day of being lazy then shopping and...

"I remember Leigh.. It just eased its way into my head" I laughed while Leigh stood by with a shocked expression until she wasn't.

Not even a second later and with the blink of an eye, Leigh jumped up and into my arms, wrapping her legs around my waist "OH MY GOD.. Y/n" She wrapped her arms around me and squeezed while I held her up by wrapping my arms around her back "Ho.. Oh my.. wow" She chuckled then sniffled a few times as her excitement calmed and she stopped squeezing the life out of me then I let her back down, leading to her grabbing my hands "How?"

"It just popped up.. I thought I was daydreaming about something I wanted to do but it filled the gaps on so many things that happened around that time

"I'm glad it did" Leigh smiled at me as she squeezed my hands gently "I knew you were still you after the accident but to me it always felt like you lost a piece of yourself after that accident, one that I was unable able to get or replicate"

"Why? It was a few days where we goofed around a lot"

"It wasn't like that to me Y/n.. They were probably two of my most favorite days ever. That long road trip we went on was so long and we talked about so many things, you even coached me through some things that ended up making my life better, we talked on the way there, when we were there and on our way back. The day after was you saying things that ultimately made me realize I wouldn't be in the position I am today if I didn't have you.. That's a reason why I was so heartbroken and why I never left the hospital after your accident"

"I..I..That makes sense, I just wish I could remember all of it and not bits and pieces" I sighed as I looked down then remembered something "That lamp I...

"It was yours Y/n.. Yes" Leigh interrupted me with a grin "I had took it from you that day. It was in my car when I was visiting your job then after the accident and when you didn't remember your mom told me to keep it. Everyone that was there had a small agreement on we wouldn't force you to remember anything from those days... It's a good thing nothing to important happened"

"I can think of a few things that were important" I chuckled and winked at her "As for the lamp. Keep it, It always made me smile whenever I saw it in here"

"You picked a perfect day to remember" Leigh laughed after she looked over at the lamp

"Right? Who would've thought the day I get a year older I would remember something" I laughed, checking the time, it was one am right now but it was still my birthday

"So what do you wanna do today?" Leigh asked as she pulled me over to sit on the bed

"Have a little bit of fun with the people I care about.. I don't wanna have some big party like you or go to a bar, I just wanna sit at home, have some cake, drink a little bit of alcohol and enjoy this age before I level up again"

"Your so boring" Leigh laughed as she nudged my shoulder then laid on it "But I like it"

"I like it to, just a little calm in our hectic lives. Not that I'm comparing mine to yours" I chuckled and flung my arm up over Leigh's shoulder
