A Few Years Ago.

"Move it is lose it punk"

"Excuse me?"

"You heard what I said... Punk" Leigh laughed as she held open the door to a store for me

"I don't think we'll be doing morning runs together anymore"

"No wait.. I'm sorry" Leigh hurried to grab my arm just as I walked past into the store "Your all sweaty.. Ew"

"You are to" I shot back "What led you to believe hooking your arm around mines was a good idea right after a run?" I laughed moving my arm a little but it was to late, the thought of our sweat mixing gave me a weird feeling

"Hey.. You hear me?" Leigh shook my arm, knocking me out of my thoughts "Are you okay? I think it's time we get you some water" She let go of my arm quickly and walked down one of the store aisles

"You know what to get me?" I yelled over into the next aisle, I wasn't sure which one she went in "H.. Oh I'm sorry" I chuckled as I almost knocked over some girl

"No it's my fault" She held a hand up to me, making sure I was okay to

"Agree to disagree" I gave her a thumbs up and she nodded then my awkward self with strangers I didn't know what to say so I pointed out that she had a lot of snacks and things to drink "Having a sleepover?"

"Something like that" She laughed quietly and pulled her hat down a little more

I think she was trying to hide her face. Although it was kind of hard to hide when you have some pretty unique hair like that, It looked brown but you could definitely see the red streaks in it like it was changing color, giving it a different I guess glow or look. I couldn't see her full face and I didn't know anything about her but she looked pretty cute and seems like a nice human being, I laughed to myself then had to pull myself out of my thoughts when I realized she was standing there, but now with a grin that was very noticeable, it was like she heard me call her cute out loud

"I should get going" She gave me a soft smile and started walking away, mumbling something like she was talking to herself

"Hey.. Are your ears turned off or are you that dehydrated?" Leigh smacked my back, almost making me chop her in the throat "My bad.. here"

I took the few bottles of water from her and turned back "Thanks.. Do you want some candy or something?"

"Sure. Chocolate is fine"

"Alright then" I walked forward and grabbed two chocolate bars off a self and went to the check out

"I'm paying this time" She nudged me out the way as she took out her cute little wallet that I made Valentina decorate with little flowers "Leave my wallet out of this" She caught onto my staring at it then shoved it into her pocket when everything was paid for "Go, go"

"I'm going" I grabbed my water bottles and hurried out the door with her behind me

"Should we go more or are we done?" Leigh asked me as we walked back to the sidewalk

"I'll think about it" I chuckled, putting one water bottle in my pocket and carrying the other "So how's that boyfriend of yours?"

"Wow.. cut right to it then" Leigh scoffed a little

She's been dating this guy for I don't know six to eight months and he seems cool, I just worry and don't want her to end up heart broken, especially now since she's been dating him for this long

"So he's good.. good" I nodded and sipped on my water

"We're good Lee. He hasn't gave me a reason to break up with him yet" Leigh laughed as she walked a little faster so she could see my face "Hey.. He's good I'm good, we're all good"
