Chapter 151: Danger of a Main Mission V

[Kingdom of Avalon]

When the shade left the premises, the hostility and pressure that was surrounding the area was also lifted as everyone in that location suddenly felt relief all over

After all the pressure that the shade had produced had actually flooded a huge perimeter in Shun's location, causing anyone who dares to attack it to feel hesitant whether to point their blades agaisnt it, and by realizing that point, everyone then couldn't help but felt shiver around their spine as they imagined a scenario of wherein the fight goes on

As they imagined the scenario of the battle in their heads, everyone then concluded that there maybe casualties on their side, if they ever fought against the shade with their full force, after all one of the proving factor that the shade could do so much was the fact that it can kill Shun's summon so easily without it being injured or touched by any attack

For the first time for so long both Shun and Akito who fought against the shade felt powerless against an opponent, no blade, no magic, no summons could literally put a scratch against such creature

With that thought it mind, even if Yuumi did manage to patch up Shun's injuries, she still couldn't help him from recovering from that shock

"Shun? Are you okay?"

As if responding to Yuumi's question, Shun then slowly replayed the fight on his mind multiple times and found numerous occasions in wherein he might get killed if not for Akito arriving in time

"Just... what the hell is that thing? My blades... my weapon... my magic... everything that I have piled up till now to become stronger was meaningless agaisnt it! Even my status of over 500 strength and so on is nothing to scoff at!!!"

Seeing Shun's grumble of such words under his breath, Yuumi then couldn't respond to such complain, after all such an opponent was really a huge blow on Shun's pride

By fighting against Lorius and Akito, and winning against them, Shun felt that nothing in this world could match up against him, after all he did defeated two monstrous opponent back in Holsteia Kingdom

But the moment he felt such bliss, the system had actually given him the main mission he wanted, the sole purpose of why he was brought into this world

When he recieved such a mission, he had literally the confidence, pride, and assurance that he could easily transverse such obstacle, in his thought compared to Lorius imaginable strength, the challenge this time would then be a bliss

Who knew that by then in an instant, all his confidence was completely broken by his encounter against the shade, he literally couldn't do anything against it, with that he then couldn't help but go back to step one in order to have the power to fight against such an opponent

Alongside him even Akito was completely taken aback by the enemy's ability to phase through anything, proving itself to be a hard opponent to be dealt with

But in comparison to Shun, Akito was even more motivated to grow stronger, after all for a swordsman like him, if he can't defeat his opponent, then all he could do was grow stronger by every means

As long as there is someone who could defeat him, Akito was confident that he can become even stronger than before

While they were in a deep thought about it, Garen together with Captain Kalego then headed towards them as he seemed that he had questions to ask towards the both of them

"Shun!!!" Called put Garen

Hearing his call Shun then turned his head towards Garen as he then saw Captain Kalego together with Mordred and Lionel behind him, coincidentally even Akito similarly looked up towards his direction, seemingly curious on what's going to happen

"You must be Shun and Akito" said Captain Kalego as he scanned the area alongside Akito who was taking some steps to approach them

Seeing that both of them didn't even reply, Captain Kalego then said

"Seems like i need a re-introduction! I am Kalego, Captain and leader of the whole Elite force of the Kingdom of Avalon, namely the Aqua force.... I have some questions to the both of you regarding the incident that had occurred in this place not so long ago"

Seeing that he had their attention, Captain Kalego then proceeded to question them both further

"Seemingly the attack happened in a flash and luckily there were no casualties among the civilians of the kingdom, but for some reasons I have some question regarding on the fact that how did such a dangerous creature  had ever entered the kingdom under our watch? Its almost impossible to have gotten inside the kingdom with us guarding it, thus begged the question how?"

Hearing his question, both Shun and Akito turned their gazes towards each other as they themselves were confused on how such dangerous creature manage to sneak in to one of the top naval forces and military in the whole world

"We actually don't know!" said Akito

"All I know is that, it suddenly came out of nowhere under our perception, luckily I was able to sense it's hostility in time to dodge it's initial attack, or else I would've been killed" said Shun

Upon hearing their respective answer, Captain Kalego then deduced something on his mind as he turned towards Shun

"So I'm assuming by what you guys said, that it is particularly attacking you? for what reason? please enlighten me"

In that moment Shun then realized that the reason for the shade's sudden appearance was because of him entering the main quest given by the system, in other words there is something residing on the main quest that the shade doesn't want him to accomplish, if that was the case it was already understandable why the shade wanted to kill him the most out of everyone in the vicinity

Through that he then realized the reason why the system warned him of the danger of receiving the main quest, after all he could die in this quest if he ever let his guard down, but if he wanted to finish the main quest and successfully unlocking the reason behind its danger level, Shun had then no choice but to find some clues

Thus the only clue he had in his hand was finding the will of Zerathras and absorbing the energy of the Aquasphere, among the two Shun then resolved himself in doing the latter mission, thus all he needed to do was to get close towards the Elite force of the Kingdom of Avalon to be granted access

With that Shun then told Captain Kalego everything he had done and had transpired during the span of short amount of time, starting at that very moment Shun then resolved himself to accomplish his original goal of becoming stronger, in order to survive against the threat of the main mission
