Chapter 168: Two vs Two II

Upon seeing the newly arrived person which is seemingly acquainted towards Adelfried, both Akito and Captain Kalego then suddenly held up their respective weapons towards them as they grew vigilant and wary towards the new person

Despite such atmosphere given by both Akito and Captain Kalego, Asmodeus on the other hand seemingly doesn't care at all as he continued to speak towards Adelfried

"Even though I faced some quite resistance on my end, I still manage to atleast accomplish my goal... how about you? Did you accomplish your goal here? Have you manage to take out the royal family? Based on how the prestigious Captain of the Elite force is being wary of you, I presume that you accomplished your goal right?" Asks Asmodeus

"Well I encounter some problem on my own end too, and hate to burst your bubbles but I haven't killed them yet... in fact its because of these two that I was preoccupied on taking them out first rather than heading straight towards my target" said Adelfried

"Captain Kalego... yes I see him as a threat, but who is the other guy?" Asks Asmodeus as he turned his attention towards Akito

"Don't know... all i know is that he attacked me, thus i have to attack him too... a trade situation" answered Adelfried

"Is that so?" Pondered Asmodeus as he shook his hold unto his scythe and landed before Akito

Following that he then took out a piece of blue orb which radiates immense amount of power and slowly applied its own mana unto his scythe

Seeing the blue orb on Asmodeus palm, Captain Kalego immediately recognized the power itself as he suddenly thought of the Aquasphere which have the same frequency as the orbs power

In that instant it was Captain Kalego's turn to be shocked

"Impossible! That... that's the Aquasphere!!! How? How did you manage to snatch it? Wait! You shouldn't be able to snatch it seemingly because there is a powerful barrier protecting that treasure... but such national treasure is in your hands now... how is this possible"

Hearing his cry of shock and surprise, Asmodeus then lightly held up the orb before him as he showed a wide grin and answered Captain Kalego's confusion

"Hehe! Well its nothing much! I can't possibly tell you how I destroyed the barrier right? Its all a trade secret... nevertheless your confusion and denial doesn't change the fact that your country's precious treasure or better yet weapon us in my hands now... and with this weapon alone I can literally wipe out your whole country off of the face of the map"

"Now behold!!!" Said Asmodeus as his scythe successfully absorbed a portion of the Aquasphere's energy, causing it to suddenly glow in blue hue and radiates such pressuring power and enough to cause everyone in the vicinity to be shocked by its pressure

After that he stored the Aquasphere back into his spatial dimension as he stanced his whole body and swung down his scythe right across the field in front of him

In just one swipe of his scythe, the whole battlefield was completely leveled as everything that gut struck by such a wave of attack was completely destroyed and cut in half, of course that include every obstacles in its way

In that few moments a lot of soldiers and few elites were instantly killed from that attack, as they all got decimated by such assault

Unfortunately despite such an attack, both Akito and Captain Kalego was able to react in time as they jumped overhead to dodge the wave attack and successfully saved their life on the process of the assault, but despite saving their lives and somehow survived the attack, they suddenly realized that such a huge attack was actually done by an only normal swing without any enchantment of spell attached to the attack

True to such fact Asmodeus did indeed inflicted such damage towards the front castle with just a simple swing and no magic applied, such an attack was equivalent to his scythe swing when his weapon was able to accumulate enough damage and completely countered it back by a few folds (heads up such an attack can only be done by the use of passive magic)

But since this wave attack was nothing but a simple swing, the result of such attack was already frightening enough for even both Captain Kalego and Akito

In that instant they became wary of them even more as they charged forwards to prevent the scythe to swing again

"Were the only capable fighters left here, thus I want you to go all out on attacking those two, but concentrate most of your attacks on the guy holding a scythe, no matter what we can't afford afford to let him swing that weapon again... don't worry I'll cover you" ordered Captain Kalego

"Whatever..." replied Akito as he immediately closed in the distance between him and Asmodeus

Seeing the sudden charge, Adelfried quickly dashed in between Asmodeus and Akito as he raised up his Sickle and swung it down towards Akito's head

But before his weapon could even land a hit on its target, Captain Kalego suddenly aimed his magic gun towards Adelfried as he poured it with his mana and shot towards the sickle on his hand

In that moment as the mana bullet course through the air, it then was actually able to hit the blade of Adelfried's sickle, thus completely parrying his quick attack and causing Akito to quickly change gear as he summersaulted above him and landed right behind him before dashing off towards Asmodeus

As if connecting such stunt, Captain Kalego then quickly opened fire towards Adelfried, as he got a complete open view target towards him

"Cannon burst!!!"

In that instant Adelfried was immediately drowned by the shot of cannons coming from Captain Kalego's bombardment

While that was happening Akito quickly drew his sword and attacked Asmodeus scythe with an intent to completely prevent him from swinging his scythe fully

To be able to do just that, he then had no choice but to deliver a powerful blow after blow towards it

With a deep inhale, Akito then attacked once more
