Chapter 155: Asking Permission

[Kingdom of Avalon]

On a very certain day after the attack from the shade had occurred, Shun was currently strolling alone the roads of the kingdom as he tries to think about ways on how to get near the Aquasphere or the national treasure of the Kingdom of Avalon

After all for the matter of fact, the last time he got near it and had been granted the permission to see it, was nothing but a pure luck or coincidence which was orchestrated by Merlin himself, but this time he would be the only one to try and get permission to visit the kingdom's national treasure, thus the previous method would not work at all

On another matter on the other hand, the fact about the shade or the information about it had been asked on the previous night towards Aurelion sol, they actually expected that the almighty celestial dragon would know a thing or two about the enemy, unfortunately that wasn't the case at all

Even for Aurelion sol, hearing about the description about the enemy itself was quite confusing him on what type of enemy did the Shun had faced

Throughout its celestial life span, Aurelion sol had literally never ever had encountered such a creature that Shun had depicted

With the identity of the shade a mystery for himself, Shun then pushed that thought aside as he plans to deal first on how to get permission to access the Aquasphere

In that moment Shun finally came face to face with Mordred who is seemingly strolling around the kingdom in her armor as her daily routine walk

"Hoh?!?! Hey Shun! How have you been? Did your injuries healed already?" Asked Mordred upon noticing Shun's presence

"Yep! They've healed... but I still feel pain on my muscles in my arms" replied Shun

"Oh! Thats normal! After all based on how you got beaten up last night, your arms were the most destroyed among your body parts" said Mordred

"Is that how it seems? I didn't actually notice that!" Said Shun in surprise

"Maybe you just overexerted yourself! Nevertheless I'm glad your okay"

After hearing Mordred's words, Shun then smiled for a bit for that glint of kindness as he then realized his actual goal for him strolling around the kingdom

"Ah! Oh right! About the fact of the Aquasphere, do you have anyway at all to grant me permission to see or visit the Aquasphere?"

Hearing that question, Mordred then posed a question herself

"You want to visit the kingdom's national treasure? Well there is a way but you will need to have a guardian with you, aside from that option there is nothing else at all"

"Just how many guardian does one need to visit the Aquasphere?" Asked Shun

"About minimum of 4, while maximum of 5... well that is in order to make sure that nothing bad would happen to the treasure" answered Mordred

Upon hearing that piece of information, Shun then realized that absorbing the Aquasphere's energy in front of the Kingdom's elite forces was already nigh impossible at all, after all every person or member of the force is quite adept of combat, thus their sensitivity towards suspicious activity is truly heightened to an imaginable degree

"Well that's an over exaggeration!" Commented Shun

"But it's a must since the item that will be shown is of some higher degree which is more important that the royalty of the kingdom itself... so if you have plans to visit the treasure, you better apply towards our captain, after that it will be up to him if he gives you permission to see it or not" said Mordred

"Wow! What a strict force!"

"I know! So you wanna apply now? I could lead you to our captain if you wanted to"

Hearing that suggestion coming from Mordred herself, Shun then pondered on his option for a bit, before he shook his head and let go of the matter

Upon recieving his reply, Mordred then didn't push the matter any longer as she respected Shun's decision and waved him goodbye, since after all she still have matter to attend to

Seeing Mordred leave the place, thus leaving Shun behind, the person then sighed in dejection as he tries another approach to get closer towards the national treasure of the Kingdom of Avalon, unfortunately the only thing he could think off at this very moment is him illegally entering it's premises, which is quite dangerous for him and the overall reputation of the Holsteia Kingdom

After walking for awhile while in deep thought, he then came into the square of the Kingdom of Avalon's capital and took a seat at the empty bench nearby and through that he begun to ponder things deeply on his own

"Hmmm... Well this will be troublesome, proceeding on getting permission to see the national treasure would be useless if I have multiple people guarding my movements in every possible direction, even thought I'm confident that I might be able to beat one of them, i would still stand no chance if i fought about a group of such elite, but if I ever do that my reputation and duke Alan's reputation would be tarnished... the demerit is much heavier than the benefit..."

Afterwards he turned his head towards some children playing their own game and realize once more just how peaceful this world was

Despite numerous people having power that could obliterate a country exist in this world, no such chaos was brought upon it, no demon king aspiring to take over the world, no villain who aspire to be the ruler of the world, no calamity to destroy the world, and most importantly almost no plot at all

Every event that happened to him was nothing but a come and go type of situation and not something related to a plot he had in mind, nevertheless the main quest that the system had given to him last night did stir up the protagonist in him, after all the system finally let him on a hint on why he was brought into this world, and the first step to accomplish the quest from the system was absorbing the energy of the Aquasphere

"How peaceful"

At this very moment someone then covered his sight with their hands, as it whispered near his ear

"Guess who?"

hearing such familiar voice, Shun then replied

"Sephiria... what are you doing?"

Hearing his answer Sephiria then smiled as she glanced his way and replied

"Nothing much, but how are you doing?"

With a slight smile Shun then proceeded to talk to Sephiria just like the old times
