Chapter 166: Akito VS Adelfried II

[Kingdom of Avalon]

Witnessing a weapon suddenly materialized in front of him, Akito then suddenly grew wary towards Adelfried while delivering out another attack as he drew closer towards him in a single step, clearly not impertuded by the presence of an another weapon

"Tomura's Second offensive sword form Takai kinchō (High Strung)"

As he drew out a quick slash aiming for Adelfried's neck, the latter himself then suddenly stepped back a little as he directed his own attack towards Akito's initial strike with an intent to parry an offensive attack with his very own offensive attack

"Wild Frenzy!!!"

Hitting Akito's sword for about five times in a single second, Adelfried was then able to parry back the former's attack as he continued on his frenzy and countered with a quick swipe of his sickle towards Akito's left eye

However at that very moment as if everything in the world including time had been paused, numerous thoughts suddenly surged towards Akito's brain as his instincts tried its best to respond to the current situation, but as he thought of this numerous thoughts inside his mind, the blade of the sickle was already before his left eye by a few inches and was about a few milliseconds away from hitting its target

"Crap! Move damn it! Move!!!"

But before the bkade of the sickle could land on his left eye, Captain Kalego of the Elite force of the Kingdom suddenly arrived at the scene as he kicked Akito from the range of the swipe attack and pointed out what seems like a magic induced gun towards Adelfried and fired a magic bullet at point blank range to the face 3 times

Unfortunately Adelfried senses suddenly reacted to this sudden change and manage to tilt his head in time to avoid the three magic shots coming from Captain Kalego's magic handgun

After dodging the attack by a hair's breath, Adelfried then directed his focus towards Captain Kalego as he swung up a huge arc of his sickle towards the latter himself, but before he could finish his attack, Captain Kalego seemingly threw in his magic handgun towards the direction of Adelfried's sickle causing it to self destruct upon contacting with the weapon

At that moment Captain Kalego was then thrown back from the force of the explosion and landed beside Akito who seemingly just recovered from that sudden save, on the other hand since Adelfried was the closest person in that explosion, he was then further thrown in the back as he crashed unto the hard pavement ground before rolling along it and crashing his back agaisnt the castle's wall

Seeing that the explosion did the trick, Captain Kalego then turned his head towards Akito and said

"Don't let go of your guard! It's not over yet"

Just as the words imply, Adelfreid soon stood up from the ground as he gritted his teeth in anger and saw that his hand was totally injured due to the close exposure of the explosion, but nevertheless he formed another sickle on his hand using his mana and started gathering a huge amount of energy towards his weapon

"Blood wave!!!"

Releasing out a huge torrent of blood blade waves erupting like a self destruct sequence towards his surroundings, Adelfried then completely killed anyone that was near him whether it was his enemy or ally in a single moment, but the magic attack didn't end there at all, as it quickly crawled its way towards both Captain Kalego and Akito who were its primary target of aggression

But as if not being faltered by such a devastating attack which killed both Adelfried's enemies and allies near him in an instant, Akito then drew his infront of him as he countered the magic spell with a sword technique of his own

"Tomura's First defensive sword form Tamari Mizu (Still Water)"

With a sword technique with a purpose of neutralizing any huge torrent of attack, Akito was then able to silence Adelfried's magic asit instantly turned into mana particles after passing by Akito's blade

Right after that as if the calmness of such a defensive technique was all an illusion, Akito surged in once more as he drew up his sword and charged towards Adelfried fearlessly

"Tomura's Fourth offensive sword form 23-Pon no hakai no ken (23 swords of destruction)"

Sending out multiple deals attacks towards Adelfried, the person himself which is target of such strike then suddenly reacted in instincts as he dodged some of the attack while parrying most of them with his own sickle, but no matter how he defend himself, we was still not fast enough to completely block all of the attack, thus causing some of the slashes to bypass his defenses and hit his own body

At that instant right after landing unto the ground, Captain Kalego suddenly entered the frat as he gathered magic in his hand and threw it all towards him in rapid succession

"Aqua Barrage!!!"

With his magic execution similar to fatal machine gun firing at the speed quite fast in the human's eyes, Captain Kalego was then able to suppress Adlefried with his own attack, forcing the person himself to dodge endlessly from such rapid bombardment

Not having a single second of break at all from the attack coming towards him one after another, Adelfried then suddenly realized that he lost track of Akito presence as he hastily tried his best to find where he is

But before he could fully locate his location at all, he suddenly felt a shadow looming above him and saw Akito dropping down from the sky while slashing his sword across his back

Gritting his teeth in pain, he forcefully twisted his body in midair as he faced Akito and quickly countered back with a huge swipe of his sickle, resulting to him successfully stabbing his blade on Akito side ribs and dragging him down unto the floor as he crashes down to the ground

After getting stabbed to the side, Akito quickly cried out loud in pain as he rolled unto the floor and settle far away from Adelfried

After taking a safe distance away from his opponent, he started trying to close up his wound with his own muscles through the use of breathing technique to calm his nerves from a the fighting that he did and swiftly control his own muscles to stop his bleeding

While he do this, Captain Kalego seemingly not taking any chances pulled out his sword and pointed it towards Adelfried as he summons huge cannon artillery from the portals he created and fired it's magic cannons towards the latter

"Open fire!!!"

Sending out three laser shots towards Adelfried, the whole place was suddenly turned upside down as the cannon shots were too destructive from this tight populated area

With that the kingdom finally started out its operation to drive out the attacking forces
