Two years later

"You have a little something-" Jake brushed his thumb on the side of your lip, where you had some frosting, and licked it.

You giggled, "This was fun."

He smirked, leaning closer, "Yea it was."

Jake put a hand on your cheek and kissed you. You put your arms around his neck, kissing him back.

"Y/n-" He groaned as his phone in his back pocket rang. You both let go of each other, and he took his phone out and mouthed to you, 'I'll be right back,' before walking out.

You sighed, putting the cake you had just made in the fridge. Jake walked back into the room with his coat, "They need me at the office. I'm not sure when I'll get back. You go to sleep."

You nodded, giving him one last kiss before he left.

You smiled to yourself. It had taken a little over a year, but you found your soulmate. Of course you didn't tell him about the snake mark, lying that it was just a tattoo you had gotten. You felt bad lying, but you had a feeling he wouldn't like it if he found out you had a second soulmate. You graduated high-school last year, but decided not to go to collage yet. It started as a gap year, then two, and you keep telling yourself you'll go back, but you're not sure anymore.

After getting ready for bed, you climbed into the bed and closed your eyes, waiting for sleep.

When you opened your eyes you knew you were dreaming. You turned around, like every other night to see Loki behind you. Erupting in a huge grin, you ran over and put your arms around his neck, as he put his around your waist. When you pulled back and looked into his eyes, he smiled kindly at you, and so you leaned up on the tip of your toes to kiss him, as he pulled you closer to kiss you back.

You kept telling yourself this wasn't cheating on Jake. Because this was a fantasy. It certainly didn't feel like one, but Loki was dead. It crushed you to find that out from Thor about a year ago, but you knew he wouldn't lie like that.

You pulled back from Loki and gave him a grin, "Well hello there, darling," he smirked.

"Hello, Loki," you smiled.

He took your hand and led you out of the forest, "Come, I want to show you something."

You giggled and followed him out. He only stopped when you came to the edge of the forest, next to a glittering lake.

"Wohhh," you looked around the lake. It was beautiful.

Loki pulled you down to a dock, and you walked with him to the edge, before pulling you down to sit with him. You sat in front of him, and both of your legs hung down the edge of the dock.

Loki rubbed your hand with his thumb, as you closed your eyes and leaned back into his chest, "Why do I dream this everyday?"

You didn't dream this exact dream everyday, but you always met Loki and you hung out, laughing together. When it started, you thought it was because of Loki's death, that you tried to remember him. It's been a while, and you didn't really know why it continued. But you didn't complain. The dreams also started with just your friendship, before he took the leap and kissed you. It took you completely by surprise, mostly because it's your dream, you didn't know why you would dream that. But when you kissed him back you realized because it was what you wanted to happen, and it was all fake anyway, so who could it hurt?

You woke back up into your dreamland, and spotted Loki as you always did.

You smiled as he walked over, "So what are we doing today? Or tonight I guess." You laughed.

Loki chuckled and smirked, taking your hand, "It's a surprise."

You pouted, "Tell meeeee."

"You'll find out soon."

It always confused you as to why you could never get him to do what you wanted. It was your dreamland after all. You put it up to just keeping him like his memory. His stubborn self.

He went behind you and whispered, "Close your eyes."

You did as you were told, and you felt the familiar feeling of being teleported. When you felt the ground with your bare feet, you could feel the soft grass.

"Open them," Loki told you.

You opened your eyes to see unicorns. I know. What the fuck? It was a dream though. And in dreams anything could happen.

Your eyes widened at the beautiful horned-horses. They were all either white or black, with horns from their head. The horns were amazing, they looked as if there was a rainbow in each one. Most of the unicorns were adults, but there were also some baby ones, with little nubs for horns.

"Can- can I touch them?" You looked to Loki. What a dumb question you told yourself. It's a dream! But you did it anyway.

Loki laughed and gave you a nod of approval. You smiled and walked over to them slowly. One of the babies noticed you and carefully walked over, curious. You waited for it to come closer, before giving it your hand for it to sniff, which it did. It rubbed it's snout in your hand, which you took as an invitation to stroke it's fur.

You sat down and the foal did as well, was you continued to pet it. A few moments later, Loki sat down next to you, and you smiled a greeting.

You saw he started to flicker out, and frowned. You were waking up already? Loki pulled you up, as he realized you were waking up as well.

He put his hand on your cheek and you smiled softly, "See you tomorrow."

He grinned, "Before you go..." he then pulled your face to him and kissed you. Your first thought was, 'What the fuck? I have a soulmate!' Your next was to kiss him back, putting your hands on his cheeks. He pulled back and gave you a grin, before he faded out and you woke up.

"Pardon?" Loki asked you.

"I mean...it's- it's a dream," you said, "I thought at first it was because I missed our friendship, and I was sad you died, but it's been over a year."

Loki chuckled, "You haven't figured it out yet?"

You turned your head around to face him and raised one eyebrow, "Figured out what?"

Loki smirked, before whispering in your ear, "I'm not dead."

You stood up, startled, and he followed suit, "But-but- that's not possible! You...you can't be-"

Loki's eyes became unfocused, and he said, "I must go. I shall see you tomorrow."

"Wait!" Before you could ask more questions, you faded out of the dreamland and woke up.
